Correct. NOLA Sam's is $4.34/lb, not sure of Costco because their website sucks.

Rouses isnt the place for meat. Daily higher than giraffe genitals and when they have a "sale" is still higher than most places daily

Costco was around $4.29/lb yesterday IIRC.

We are well beyond the days of $2/lb brisket. Such a damn racket.

I remember the days of buying a brisket to ground into burger meat!

If you have an Albertsons nearby they have prime briskets for $2.97/lb. Super 1 also has pork butts for $0.87/lb right now too.

$3.97/lb for prime brisket is a good price. HEB has them for $3.99/lb this week.

Randalls in Katy has 'em for $2.97/lb which is even better.

I went to the Albertson's on Coursey/Jones Creek at lunch and they had 2 briskets left. Both in the regular packaged meat section.

You have to join their online rewards program, which I wasn't aware of. The girl at checkout helped me, just download their app and register with your phone number. Usually I would never go through the trouble, but it saves 40% on a nice piece of meat.

I've learned through experience that their "Prime" doesn't usually seem prime.

I remember sale brisket for .99 cents. Then came the fad....throw it in a crock pot...add a bottle of Coke. Things have gone to hell since then.

I just picked mine up for $2.97 /lb from this Albertsons. They are in the bins in front of packaged meat wall. They had over a dozen left so they must have just restocked. The sell thru date on them is Sept 12.

Before July 4 Albertsons had choice briskets for $1.97/lb. Honestly, it was as good as any prime I’ve smoked. I won’t hesitate if I get a good deal on a nice choice brisket.

Still, I’ll have to go try to get one. $2.97 is still a good price.
