Hmmmm......Crimson Desert doesn't show up in the top 10 on Steam for me, so I searched for the game and it didn't show up either, yet when I google "search crimson desert steam" they show it available for pre-order.
EDIT
Apparently steam put some new content filer that I had to change. I joined in 2005 to buy the Orange Box and have never had this happen before.

I pre-ordered recently. I've been looking forward to this game for several years now.

The video below is in Japanese, but it's the first released footage of Crimson Desert playing on a Base Model PS5.

I’m picking this up this week. Just hearing about it. This looks great and I need something to play

Looks like I’ll be ok.
I only game in 1440p now since I downsized my monitor to 27.
GPU: 9070xt
Cpu: 9800x3d

That is the key component, since you'll be able to use the Ray regeneration feature to unlock the best visuals of the game.

From a Korean streamer that completed it:

Damn. Now im really pumped.

-Character swapping is just like GTA5 including transition effects where the camera zooms out into the world and back in. Characters are going about their day as they are swapped in. One time he swapped into Oongka in the middle of a gigantic battle and had to fight his way out.
-Finished the game without the Day 1 patch and encountered only minor bugs. Everything that felt “off” in previous gameplay has been fixed (footstep sounds, running animations, weird reactions when getting hit)
-Played RDR2 for about 600 hours and he suggested CD was similar in tempo.
-Praised the world design, each piece of content draws you in with a sense of purpose unlike the “Ubisoft style checklist questing”
-Main story can be brutally hard if you rush it without upgrading Kliff
-Every region has a different difficulty, becomes harder when you go east and north.
-Played on 5080 at 1440p cinematic settings without frame drops or stutters
-Score/soundtrack is legendary
-Did not find all the game systems to be fatiguing or stressful to deal with
-Inventory space can be tight at first but was not an issue late game as side quests reward you with more storage
-Stated it was the “game of his life”, played 10h daily since he got the review code
-No life’d the game to finish the review but still not seen 50% of the bosses
-Avoided giving story details cause of the strict embargo but said “there are twists”.
-Another reviewer when asked how the game was, linked to a EGM 1998 quote about Zelda Ocarina of Time that translates to “Savor it because this is as good as its going to get for a very long time”.
Damn. Now im really pumped.

Got my downloading and ready. Trying to finish up Nioh 3, but doubt I'll be done by the time it comes out. Trying to decide if I'll finish it now or just come back to it after crimson desert.

Most saying amazing world. Amazing combat. Best looking world ever.
But horrible menus (one said the worst inventory system in the history of gaming). And sometimes unclear objectives that can have you wasting hours at a time.
And apparently you have to grind supplies/equipment for hours before most boss battles as the bosses are on an entirely different difficulty level than everything else in the game up to that point. And not a souls like difficulty where you can adjust your strategy to have more success & figure it out. But strictly difficult because all your armour & weapons will be greatly underpowered even though you can one-shot hordes of enemies right before the boss fight. And this happens over & over throughout the game adding a ridiculous # of hours by mandatory backtracking to grind & farm for bosses.

ACG loved it but the bugs, especially the save issues has him saying wait.
To the devs credit they are working on all of the complaints like adding a chest to the base camp to help with inventory issues. It was a really odd omission to leave out of the game.
Already purchased it and over time most reviewers are saying it could be special with updates and fixes.
Except Polygon, because they are Polygon and there was not a single interesting thing she found in 20 hours.

She is probably fuming at the failure of 1348 Ex Voto.

Imagine the most generic fantasy protagonist, and you'll get Crimson Desert's leading man, Kliff. I've only played a few hours of the much-hyped Crimson Desert, so weight my opinion accordingly, but those few hours were so boring and soulless that I absolutely did not want to play anymore. Feels like a game designed for people who just want to Consume Content.

Most complaints about gameplay is the lack of handholding and objective markers.
No tip screen popping up to tell you how to complete a puzzle. . .or even that it IS a puzzle
That shite is a plus to me.
