Trust me, as a huge HZD fan and PS5 owner it was a major internal battle to pick ER over HZD and wait for the latter til afterwards but I think it's going to pay off.
How great is Feb for ps5 owners? Cyberpunk PS5 patch and huge update, Horizon FW, and Elden Ring all in a weeks time.

I've read multiple articles saying all the "easier dark souls" crap was a red herring and this could be the hardest FromSoft title yet

Take this for what it’s worth because I haven’t got my hands on yet but I see it as a bit a of a different type of difficulty than an typical dark souls/Bloodborne. While those titles used some of the most mine blowing level design imaginable it just felt like an open world interconnected. Below the surface you were still in a sense doing a dance or playing a rhythm game and getting better each time at the one specific task. Elders Ring is the exact opposite as I see it which could make it more or less “difficult” depending on preferences.

The embargo ends 2/23 at 10am ET, so I guess I'm pretty much going to stay off the internet from tomorrow until Friday at 12:01am ET

Launch trailer was insane. Highly recommend people to watch it. Wasn't too spoiler heavy IMO since there isn't context along with it. But I get it if you're trying to play it completely blind.

I watched a Youtube video with a breakdown of the classes so I could kinda know where I wanted to start. Other than that, I'm going in blind as well. Looking forward to taking off Friday afternoon, cracking open some cold ones, and getting brutally killed over and over again

Question for you guys. I’ve never played any of the games made by this company and am a casual gamer at best. I did get very good at BOTW after diving into it for a few months with my son (could kill basically everything fairly easily).
Is this game going to be one where it’s basically impossible to progress due to difficulty especially only playing for a couple of hours a week?
I loved Skyrim when I played it before kids and this looks like a combo of that and BOTW. Looks like my kind of game but I’m not sure if this will just be a waste of 60 dollars with the amount of time I can devote. Thanks

Tough to say but there have only been a couple bosses in the entire series of games that took me more than an hour of work to beat. If you have to relearn the controls every time you play, you may have trouble but it’s obviously worth buying and playing regardless.
