I think making the cut is huge because it gives him two free practice rounds in tournament conditions to open it up and see what lines work.

Hitting his driver decent? The dude has been blowing it alll over the golf course. This is the one course they play a major at every year and people (even casual fans) don’t realize that this is a second shot golf course snd if you aren’t in the right spot off the tee then you won’t score well. The douche would need to drive it perfectly all week to even have a shot and it would take great chipping snd putting to even get the win. He’s been poor off the tee, mediocre with the putter, and his normal below average self with wedges. Not a recipe for success.

He will slide in at even. Already making excuses. Said he was feeling “dizzy” and “off” the last two days.

I saw that and thought how unprofessional.

You mean like saying publicly that his par is 67 at Augusta?

I really don’t dislike him. I just dislike people who things being longest off the tee makes you the favorite at any tournament. The dude was really good (top 10) before he tried to transform his game into a long distance driving game. It’s embarrassing that him nor causal fans don’t get that you need to have a wedge game.

He bounced back a little today. Shot a +2 round of 69.

that hasn’t been the theme tho. People and players are more impressed by how straight he’s able to hit it while also hitting it long. This just wasn’t his week off the tee.

I don’t really disagree but his accuracy has been an issue at times. I honestly think he needed to be humbled and augusta will humble you. Crazy thing is he’s lucky it’s played much easier than normal. Considering the places he’s driven it off the tee he’s lucky the greens have been so soft. Until he gets a wedge game and good approach game then i wouldn’t expect him to be rattling off significant amount of tournaments.

Damn, real bad shot call here. That shot probably landed somewhere amongst the pines like Bryson’s tee shots lol

Yeah so did morikawa. Nobody is making him the favorite for any major either. Again the douche was phenomenal way before he turned his game into this. He shouldn’t of ever been the favorite here and honestly he’s lucky he even made the cut.

It wasn’t his week hitting fairways at Winged Foot either. He only hit 23 of 56 fairways there. Augusta is a different course because of trees. If you spray it like Bryson you are going to struggle with second shots. Unless you are amazing around and on the greens, which he is not, you are not going to be successful at Augusta.
