I grew up there. My parents still live there. My dad plays Ormond every Sunday. I usually play with him whenever I'm in town. Last time we played back in December, the greens were like putting on fur.

Vegas and Vegas Flip
Two person team. Your team score is both your scores in back one another lowest first. Player A makes 4 and Player 6, your team score is 46. If opponents make 5 and 6 you take 56-46 and the first team wins 10pts. It gets fun when you play flip. When a team birdies, the opponents score is flipped. So 56 turns to 65.

I like Bingo, Bango, Bongo.
It’s especially a good game if all players aren’t necessarily on same skill level.
3 bets a hole:
1st bet winner is first on green
2nd bet winner is closest on once everyone is on
3rd is first to hole
You only pay the difference to whoever finishes with the most bets won at the end of the round.
We play where if one person wins all 3 bets on a hole, then the bet for that hole doubles.

We play this often. Play it at a dollar a point. Can rack up some big scores

Yesterday we only had 3 in our group and played 9’s. Each hole is worth a total of 9 points.
If you all 3 tie the hole everyone gets 3 points.
If you win the hole and the other 2 players tie then you get 5 points and the other 2 players get 2 points each.
If you win, one player comes in second, and one player comes in last you’d get 5 points, second place gets 3 points, and last place gets 1 point.
At the end you add up all the points and pay the difference in points

low man was wolf on final 2 holes
We call it Super Wolf and do the last 3 holes.
Whoever is down the most is the wolf and goes 1st. The person who is up the most goes 2nd and the order descends based off dollar amounts from there.
A lot of big $ swings during super wolf.

Only problem I’ve seen with wolf hammer is seems like there’s so many bets it’s hard to remember what all goes in. Big learning curve. I’m sure it’s fun
It's really not. We have printed sheets to give to guys who have never played. Then we usually just explain as we go along. After playing the game probably twice I knew every single dot. Really, only par or better matters. Sometimes the handicaps with the holes come into play with giving strokes, but there will never, imo, be a game nearly as fun.
It makes every single shot on the course matter. We've even added our own dots. I've played wolf several times now, and it's just really dull by comparison. You get rewarded and penalized for good/bad shots. We have a really big group and everyone isn't scared to lose money because everyone knows it comes around. We don't throw around hundreds and hundreds of dollars, but I have lost that before and won that before. We basically just keep any money won in our Venmo because it'll go out at some point.

Haven't played it but their modified stable ford game Tilt looks like a lot of fun.
Just FYI I tracked down the rules. I will probably do this the next time we play.
Scoring
(Net scores)
Double bogey or worse: -4 points
Bogey: 0 points
Par: 2 points
Birdie: 4 points
Eagle: 8 points
Albatross: 16 points
This is all pretty standard. Things get exciting when you make a net birdie, which officially puts you on TILT. Your next hole is worth 2x the points, so a (net) par will earn you 4 points instead of 2. The same goes for the negative points. If you make (net) double or worse, you lose 8 points instead of 4.
The real fun comes in when you really get hot. Two net birdies in a row puts you on Triple Tilt, and your next hole is worth 3x the amount of points.
A net eagle is essentially treated as two birdies in a row. If you make a net eagle (assuming you’re not already on tilt), you earn your 8 points, and you bypass the 2x to get a 3x bonus on the next hole. If you’re already on 2x Tilt, and make a (net) eagle, you’re now on 4x playing the next hole.
A net par takes you off Tilt, and makes your next hole worth the normal allotment of points.

For Tilt, would you play off to the lowest handicap or give everyone their course handicap. I would assume it would be a lot more fun to play course handicap. If a 15 is playing a 13, there wouldn't be many tilt opportunities if only two holes have pars as net birdies for the higher handicap. I was just wondering if I'm making a wrong assumption.

I would say course handicap.
A group of us are playing Grand Bear next weekend and we might try playing Tilt as a 2 man scramble

In every article I've seen, I am always surprised when they say the Wolf goes last.
This is how we play, with the wolf going last. If they are feeling good about a hole, they can go blind wolf where it’s 3x and they have to tee off first. If they go through everyone and don’t pick then they are lone wolf and it’s 2x. I didn’t know the wolf sometimes goes first until recently and I’ve been playing wolf for years.
We also play where last place is wolf on 17&18.

We've started playing Left/Right. Everyone tees off in a rotation like Wolf. 2 left tee shots and 2 right become partners in a low ball
That actually sounds like fun

It mixes things up on every hole. The fun is on par 3s if someone sticks it close. 'OOPS, I rope hooked mine in the woods, looks like I'm on team left with the CTH and birdie chance. Play hard partner!"

my leagues we play modified stableford
My golf league does the same. 5 points for eagle, 3 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey, and pick it up at double.
3 rounds to establish your points (average). Only down-side is it's difficult for the players at the top to win. Easier for an 18 point golfer to go +4 rather than a 24 point golfer.
We've been doing it first Saturday of the month for over 20 years. All About the Fun Golf League.

Swear jar.
Every putt after par is $1 or whatever units you want to play. Person with the least putts at the end of the round wins

Sandies-par or better out of any trap
Douche's-par or better out of water
Monkeys-par or better out of the woods
Closest to the hole on par 3's. But you have to make par to collect.
