Caught the hammer at the LSU course back in the gap for sneaking on.

This is the most white trash thing I have ever read on here.

Was asked to leave a course once.
Was playing at Pinecrest GC in Houston and one of our guys was a short hitter off the tee.
The foursome behind us kept hitting into us even though we were keeping pace with the group in front of us.
After this happing several times, this clown behind us hits a drive that bounces and hits me in the calf.
I pulled out a 3 wood and air mailed his ball into a pond.
Then he drives his cart up on us and starts charging at me, I laid him out flat...
His buddies went running to the clubhouse and the Pro came out, after hearing the story, he asked all of us to leave the course.
He did give our foursome a rain check card...

When I was in College we were playing a 9 hole muny course. We pulled the flag stick to putt and when done we I picked up flag stick and the flag fell off the top. No big deal its happend before. Old dude came out of club house got in cart came screaming at us about ripping the flag off. He kicked us off the course. But it was our last hole. So did I really get kicked off?

Whats bullshite is hitting into people. You catch one flush and hit someone and kill them
When it’s dry the ball is rolling 50 yds, and you know your carry is nowhere close, it’s OK to roll a ball into the group ahead if they are a hole+ behind.

Yep.
I decided to join a country club. I really did want to join that particular one, but it was close to home and my wife and kids could use the pool.
I gave them a check for a years dues and the initiation fee. Next day I went to play, I’m carrying my bag since I hadn’t bought a cart yet, and a guy pulls up next to me and asks who I am, told him and said I’d joined yesterday.
fricker said “you’re not a member till the membership committee votes on you”
Now this is a rural town with about 5-6000 people, not exactly a swanky club, so you can imagine my surprise. I told him until I got my check back, I was playing. fricker went and got it and gave it back to me and told me to leave. As you can guess he’s on the membership committee and I get blackballed.
So I went to one closer to work I really did want to play at, they waived the initiation since I paid a year in advance. Better course, better players to play with.
Next year I played a scramble at the course I got booted from with a buddy who couldn’t break 100 if his life depended on it. Of course the fricker and his partner are paired with us. They knew my buddy wasn’t good, didn’t know I was. Wanted to play for money, I said if we do it’s 100 a hole, which they jumped on.
8 birdies in a row later, they were learning that was a bad idea. When my buddy drains a 60 foot eagle putt…well that paid my dues at my new club for the next year.

After how many holes? Curious to know what the perceived etiquette here is.
Do you mean getting to the tee box and them in the fairway or do you mean getting to the tee box and they're on the tee box?

Same for me.
If I'm not being pushed from behind I usually don't tee off until the group ahead of me is on the green for a par 4.
If the course is busy I will tee off when they drive on after their second shot.

Some Par 4s you have to wait for them to get off the green. I have rolled the green and seen it done a few times more on short holes.

On drivable par 4s on tour they hit onto the green while they guys are on the hole. They get to green and at times be standing off to the side so players can hit. This way they don’t hold up the course and be an entire hole behind. Waiting for players to get onto a green on a non drivable par 4 in order to hit is insane to me. Def causing slow play.

There is no rule of thumb for this IMO. You have to use common sense, like letting your shortest hitter hit first if there no way he can hit into a group.
Years ago I was on another fairway and a guy teed off and hit me in my thigh on the fly, it brought me to my knees in pain.
Went to Doctor the next week and he had to drain it.
The bruise turned several different colors and it took at least 2 months to fully disappear.

What is the stance on this situation.
Probably 15 or so years ago when i was in college I was on a par 5. Guys in front of us were about 5 yards in front of the green and I was in the fairway after my drive. I wasn't going for the green as I couldn't reach from where I was, so I was going to go ahead and hit my layup shot. I hit a shot to run it up into short chipping range about 30-40 or so yards short of the green. The ball ended up probably 25-30 yards short of where the group in front was standing. Guy I guess hears my ball, turns around, gets pissed, flicks me off, walks over to pick up my ball and hurls it into the water to the left of the fairway. Then, he and his group drove off. My friend and I just stood there for a second and didn't retaliate but was I the a-hole here or did the guy overreact for no reason?

I wouldn't say you are the a-hole, but situations like that are usually why I err on the side of caution. I also feel like being on the green is almost a different situation than being a few yards short and hitting a pitch shot. What I mean is, if the guy is putting and your ball rolls up 20 yards short, it doesn't seem like a big deal because it's obvious you were laying up. I picture it like each hole has a slot for groups. Par 3s are tee and green, par 4s tee, fairway, green, and par 5s tee, 2 fairway spots, and the green. It's probably best to let the group leave the spot you are hitting into.
However, if this was your first interaction with the guy, he was definitely an a-hole for acting that way. Mistakes happen, and your mistake didn't endanger him.

You are not the A hole here. That is insane. Having your ball roll out and be 20 yards behind someone isn’t hitting into them. I’ve been hit into before and it’s not always intentional like some of these stay off my lawn guys. I tend to turn around and wave at them. They get a warning and if it happens again I’ll do or say something. To knowingly hit a ball that isn’t going to get to them isn’t unethical and those guys are absolute tools.

Agreed. We've all been in situations where you can't see the carts for the group in front of you anymore, you tee off thinking it's all clear, only to find out someone was in the woods or something looking for a ball. A simple "my bad, sorry about that" is sufficient for reasonable people in that situation.

I agree.
My buddies and I always laugh because in your mind whoever is playing behind you is automatically 2 things:
An a-hole & a very good golfer
Usually neither of these are true, but it's just perception. We always think the the people behind us are pissed that we are in front of them and that they are piping 340yd drives every hole, while in reality they are just duffers like the rest of us

If there’s an entire hole open ahead of a group and it’s not first 4-5 holes. Send the message.
If they are on the tee as I roll up, I will ask to play through
