Time is of the essence and there is more important stuff to be done than a practice area if you want to make city park a pro course

The clubhouse needs a major overhaul. The "locker room" has like 20 lockers, 3 urinals and 2 stalls. I think there might be a shower in there too.

I’m sure they will move trailers on site to handle the locker room and clubhouse situations. I wouldn’t think that much will be done to the range. Most probably new mats and better grass on the edges of the range. Maybe some new signage but that will be about it,

Most of the money will be spent on fencing around the course,

Any improvements are welcome. The driving range needs a complete overhaul. The South Course has alot of potential needs to be better landscaped 5 million could do wonders. The North needs to be destroyed

Not the first time ive heard that a huge portion of the money is just to put up appropriate fencing around south course. Like over a million is needed apparently just for that.

I always felt like they should turn the N course into a 9 hole par 3 and have a total renovation of the driving range. Two story individual bay style with fans/heaters. With a big chipping and putting area made from one of the holes on N course closest to the driving range.

I went to the event in Houston last year. It was either June or July but it was absolutely miserable. If you go, spend the extra money for one of the hospitality tents. Walking around is not the move.

Will be interesting to gauge LIV attendance in June in NOLA. Even if I did like LiV, it would be hard for me to go out there during that time of the year. April for the Zurich is already pretty hot.

It’s going to be a disaster on every front. The Zurich gets what little juice it has from the relaxed team approach; otherwise the course and region aren’t a draw.

LIV at city park west just isn’t a draw.

The Zurich averaged 40k in attendance over 4 days. That’s pretty good and this is with Jazz Fest happening. You only post negatively about the area. Go back to moaning about the Saints on that board. You suck.

In 2025, the Zurich averaged about 30k in attendance over 4 days.
The total attendance was about 120k (but the total has not been announced by Zurich) and the highest day was Saturday with about 37k in attendance (that was a single day record).

I know someone who works for The Fore Kids Foundation and they told me this week that 2025 was record breaking from the financial aspect, better than 2024. They added more grandstands for the Best of Zurich and Walk Ons type offerings and almost all of it was sold out Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Doubt if LIV in June could do that. Fall would be worse with college football and the Saints.

I’ve thought for a while they should turn north course into a 9 holes and put lights on it for night golf. There’s public courses like that in Austin and San Antonio don’t need to be the nicest but allow for some evening golf
