Started off hot as anyone this year and has sort of petered out. Was hoping we would have an LSU guy contending for the tour championship.

Was it too many wins too early? Or are too many vacations with Scheffler making him complacent? Smylie’s game went to shite once he started hanging with Speith and making frat star videos.

Dude is loaded with talent. Hope he finds his game again soon.

Scottie is like 60 years old. They probably play chess and talk golf strategy.

Have you ever played golf? What’s his problem? It’s called he plays the most complicated game for a living and i think he’s doing a decent job considering he’s a top 10 player.

I once read that pro golfers make 80% of their annual winnings during a seven week period.
Some early, some late, but all in a 7 week window. The rest of the season they try not to lose too much dough. The concentration and rhythm needed can’t be sustained.

I read where Sam has had some back issues in the latter part of the season, could be a factor.

What? He doesn’t have that many. And he’s still really young.

He should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Sam. I like Smylie but come on.

He was hot for like 8 months of the PGA Tour season. He won a tournament a few months ago and finished 4th his next time out. And he finished T20 the first two events of the playoffs. A lot of guys would love to peter out like that. Not including this week, he’s really only had two legitimately bad rounds of golf since his last win

There’s only a handful of events that matter every year and the big names play well. There’s then your grinder events which some dudes pop.

Sam Burns is a grinder dude with some pop who does well in smaller events.

I think he must have an injury of some kind . He’s a much better golfer than he’s been showing since the British Open .

He hits it long a far. Sometimes not so straight. Had three good rounds, but it takes four.

Tweaked his back. His game is still in great shape. He will have another big season next year.
