I’ve heard about “bulking” before you start a workout phase.

What are some foods you use to help add bulk for a few months before you start working out?

Lol, no. You add mass while working out, then shred to tone. You’re going to inflate like a fricking blimp

You don't bulk before you start working out, you bulk while you're working out. And 90% of this board doesn't need to bulk, they've got plenty of extra weight

Head over to the health and fitness board

I’ll give you some advice from when I started lifting:

Go into a decent calorie surplus (nothing crazy, like 400 over your recommended), eat teriyaki chicken and rice like your life depends on it, and lift heavy 5x a week. Do a decent amount of cardio, and you’ll be adding onto weight to your max reps within a month.

Get MyFitnessPal app. Plan out you caloric needs and then go grocery shopping to meet the right macros. It’s a lithh thke mental work at first but pays off huge. Keep in mind that most food sold is edible poison. thats another thread. if you want the grocery list many athletes use, I'll put it here. great job getting motivated to be better.

This isn’t the 80s/90s anymore bud. Nothing looks more idiotic than some swole up guy with no neck and clothes that don’t fit right.

Do you want to impress women or other dudes?

Get fit and lean. Be athletic.

Unless you are a bodybuilder (which means on steroids etc) you don't need to "bulk" , "cut" etc.
Just lift weights.
Do cardio.
Play sports.
Don't eat like dog shite.

It's not really complicated.

Why would you do this? You’re already too fat

Potatoes
Peanut butter
Pasta
Pizza
And as much bread as you can eat.

You will definitely be bulky.
