Good insight. Gonna do a longer ride today and see how I feel later this week or next.

I've found myself riding with subtitles on more recently, as I'm growing increasingly annoying by the instructors

i have to turn the "more music" on even when i don't like the playlist.

Tunde is the only one that comes close to what i want, somehow she nails it every time you come close to slacking off . I just need one of them to drop the "your getting stronger" shite and call me a pussy for not turning the resistance up more.

Just finished my first bike ride...20 mins. Solid workout. Although the instructor was cheesy and the music was terrible. Are there any instructors that have good music? Or how do I play my own?

There are lots of different music options for you to choose from. So instructors do more pop (Cody), 80s and 90s (emma), metal (kendall), etc. just search through their old classes and find the music list you like. When you click on the class you can scroll down and see the playlist before you ride.

Did the Kendall Toole 30 min HIIT ride on Monday and it was brutal. Really got the endorphins up after though.

My favorite format is HIIT & Hills (a 45 min ride if I have the time). Sam Yo’s H&H format is always solid.

I’m enjoying the power zone program. It is the beginner/discover power zones program. Finished the third week a few days ago. Taking the first class in week 4 tonight. More a slow and steady type of class than the intervals or climbs. I still jump in a normal class about once a week but I’m interested in two weeks to see how much progress I’ve made.

I took another FTP test and went up 16 from the first one. About 10% over the 5 weeks. Jumped into the build your power zones and it’s just so different. But it works to build your fitness levels. Feeling great.

I think Emma does the best job with music. Her hip hop rides are great. And I especially love her 90s rock rides and Low Impact rides.

Emma 90s rock rides are easily the best music to my tastes

Tunde plays pretty good rap

You are on there to work out not to listen to music. I’ve gotten to the point that I can zone out stuff I don’t like.

Just started week 5 of this exact program. Really enjoying the power zone training, personally. Have yet to take any "normal" classes so far, but will probably jump in to the Peak Your Powerzones program at some point, after experimenting a bit with some other classes

First ride on the bike in 3-4 months tonight. I forgot how much of a workout that thing can be in a short amount of time.

Hopefully I can keep up the riding better now that the bike has a permanent location

Finished up a 6 week power zone challenge from Power Zone Pack earlier this week. Upped my FTP by 10 points. Honestly it feels a little low compared to how I was feeling near the end of the 6 weeks. Was thinking I’d see a 15-20 point increase. I think I made a mistake riding the test Sunday afternoon. I usually ride at night and was thinking doing it mid afternoon after a couple of rest days would be good. I think I’m just wired to do better at night. Took a 45 minute ride last night to test out the new zones and felt great. I may retest in a couple of days. There’s another challenge in a few weeks if anyone is interested. They’re 6 weeks and do a progressive overload program.

Maybe. I mostly do strength classes. On an 89 week activity streak currently.

I took my first one in over a month the other night. Really most of 2025 was a lost cause for my riding. Dealing with a foot injury on my left foot sidelined me for a while. As soon as it was almost back to normal, had an issue with ingrown toenails on my right foot. After both of those, I sort of lost motivation to start back up. My youngest got a bike for his birthday in the spring and I took him to the park 2-3 times a week to ride, and I rode along with him, but it wasn't really getting a good workout in. Started riding more outdoors after that, and when it started to turn cold I thought I would get back on the Peloton, but it just never happened.

JJ, Logan (non-tabata), and Adrian are my go-to’s. Rebecca is good too, her core classes are always so damn hard.

I mistakenly took one of Logan's tabata strength classes once. Just picked some arms/shoulders 20 or 30 minute class, and it was awful. I get the idea behind it, but hated every minute of it. Ben Alldis has some decent strength classes too. If you don't mind hearing the same songs every time.

Not sure how I forgot Ben. Ben and JJ are probably the two I use the most for strength. I really liked Daniel McKenna back in the day, wish they would’ve kept his catalog.
