At this point I wouldn't even care. He hasn't lived up to his rating.

I agree! I remember when Dominck was being rated and he fell during the recruiting cycle...still a 5* at the end but with each release of the rankings he had fallen and barely ended up a 5*. From his play which is OBSCURE to be kind, he has played like a low 4*. I realize DT isn't the most high profile position on the field but you hardly ever hear his name called. LSU can easily replace him with another average quality SEC starter...that is exactly what he has been.;

Good, I am not impressed with him at all. Top flight high players should dominate at the high school level; he does not.

Wouldn't that be considered tampering at this point.

You hear Collin Simmons name all the time from the same class. Texas got the better player for sure.

To be fair, Simmons plays a different position than McKinley so he is more free to make plays. But yeah, Simmons plays like a 5* at his position. McKinley COULD dominate inside by wrecking havoc rushing up the middle, etc. He doesn't. A better comparison IMO is what Simmons a 5* does for Texas vs Perkins a 5* guy with more college experience than Simmons who most of the time is invisible on the field. Who would you rather have on LSU's team...Simmons or Perkins?

We need to stop the leaks in our roster? How many of the people you mentioned were on our roster and how many of those that were on our roster entered the portal?

The answer is less than 2.

Perhaps a blessing in disguise. Gives more opportunity for guys like Lamar Brown to play early. As of late, Guillory and others have been playing better.

3 star who gives af. Transfer portal only thing that matters now, why even waste time recruiting kids out of high school.

So Dom entering the portal at the end of the season? Damn that hurts.

If we trade Berrymon for him , then this is a win.

Anyone else surprised Ohio State wants him. They are already loaded this cycle.

How much of this is the lack of development and coaching? BK was lazy, players not allowed to tackle in practice, poor fundamentals, lack of prep/execution. Have a feeling at OSU they they tackle, learn basics and have to execute!
Now guaranteed Baker and Williams should have these guys fired up, knowing fundamentals and ready to go but the team always looked flat coming out of the tunnel for every home game.
What’s a wasted year!

Might not be, but Ohio State is not known for recruiting garbage.

The DL coaching hasn't been awesome but better than the OL coaching. Plus, I remember a couple of years ago that several posters who had seen Dominick McKinley play in HS say he was overrated. I will also point out that DM started out a HIGH 5* and ended the recruiting cycle like the lowest 5* there wasd. No, Dominick Mckinley was overrated IMO...a low 5* who has shown more to be a low 4* in talent and impact.

Something to keep in mind regarding Dom's production - he's only 19, didn't redshirt, and was honestly recruited more for his potential ceiling rather than current ability coming out of high school.
