Just my opinion on what probably happened...
I think Leavitt's camp received a call from Tennessee sometime Monday night/Tuesday morning and pleaded for them to take one more visit to Knoxville before signing with LSU. Leavitt weighed the options and notified LSU staff that they were considering making one more visit to Tennessee before making a final decision... Kiffin then got on the phone and called Demond Williams camp and sent an offer he could not refuse.
I doubt it has anything to do with the injury concern, his timetable on returning, Leavitt leveraging more money, or any other storyline.

Demond was committed to Kiffin in high school, but chose Fisch and Arizona St. When Fisch went to Washington, Kiffin tried to get him again, but he Demond decided to go with Fisch again.
What I'm telling you now is that what LSU/Miami or whomever did to pry him from Washington, they didn't hold back. Fisch wanted him to be the face of the program and team. They were planning to build the offense around his skillset.
In a perfect world, Williams stays 2 more years at Washington and maybe makes the playoffs in his 3rd season and him and Fisch are tight like rope.
However I think he comes to LSU, plays for 2 years, becomes the next Kyler Murray type player, get drafted first round, and our RS freshman Peyton Houston takes over.

If players and their "representatives" want to pit school vs school for the biggest bag and take multiple visits until they get the money they want regardless of the situation, then they need to expect the same loyalty in return.

Forced to play, how the hell could they do that? Why would a school but a leader in charge of a team at a place he doesn’t want to be. Who would want to follow someone not committed to the teams goals.
Only thing the school can hope for is a financial compensation or a change of heart by the player. Maybe they find another bag to help sell or seal the deal, maybe will more stipulations.
I image all contracts are being reviewed by all parties and many new lawyers.
