A board favorite, Ford from ULM hit the portal

Not sure what his playing weight is, but I’d like to see him slim down a bit to help get his burst fully back. I remember watching us play Clemson and thinking he looked noticeably more caked up than last year, maybe too much. If he’s a sprinter then keep him at sprinter weight, he’ll never be a big power back regardless of how much he tries to bulk.

Would love this if Sloan wasn't a dumb arse and Caden was healthy the Berry Durham combo would have been my much more productive. Thinking about these two in a kiffen Weiss offense gets me pumped the fk up! Aside from Jayden being a generational talent LSU couldn't run the ball during CBKs entire tenure which makes me want to throw up. This is LSU for heavens sake!

100%. I've bashed Caden's lack of vision but I think he regressed in that area from his first year because (1) Frank sucks as an RB coach when it comes to development and (2) the scheme is awful. Lane's offense has a great approach to running lanes and space.
I think some of that may have been him pressing trying to make something happen with an underperforming OL.
Lane runs a lot of gap scheme and like you said, we know he can create space. If the OL can execute, this should really help a guy who struggled with vision get it going again.

Need him to come back and maybe a bruiser back

Thought he was amazing in '24 season. Broke a ton of runs. This season he seemed to make bad, quick decisions on where to run which too often resulted in him getting stuffed for loss or 1-2 yd gain. Who knows. Maybe injury related. Berry was better at pausing a bit, looking for hole then blowing through it.
The reason I think he was still injured is when he broke off long runs, he always got caught from behind. His speed and also his cutting ability and strength seemed to suffer

I thought this might happen given the lack of visits and smoke around him

It would make most sense for CD to come back. The new staff has already proven their RB success, especially with track stars transitioning to the gridiron.
A developed CD paired with an experienced Berry would make a deadly duo.
2 years of Frank has done nothing to improve CD on the field.

would probably be an easier sell with an OL

Would love to have him and JT Lindsey back though leaving LA may be the best thing for Lindsey.
I was more impressed with Lindsey’s HS tape than Berry (no disrespect to berry)

IF he is healthy, is he a really good back?
From what I've seen of him, yes. No back looks good with the piss poor blocking and scheme we saw at LSU this year.

That's what Kaleb Jackson was supposed to be (still in the Portal).

If he comes back that would be 3rd year in P&G. Talented dude who played through injury & dogwater offensive management.
Imagine if he returns and has a breakout year. Would feel like vintage CFB.

Could easily finally run Jackson i would really rather a useful Jackson than Durham back . Balance

Lane needs to remind Caden that "frick Up Frank" isn't here anymore. That should be enough for him to stay.

I want to see who is better, CD or HB. Both have flashed elite skills, hope we have them both

I’d love for Durham to stay. Played tough through injury and still produced some big plays.
