They started out giddy when all of the pettiness was favoring them. They were able to tell Kiffin to pound sand but also got to use LSU’s coaches and actually won a playoff game. They felt like it was a real power play to get Austin Thomas and Frank Wilson and spoke about LSU’s demise as players began to hit the portal in large numbers.
Now, LSU has put together a strong portal class and their players are staring to enter. Probably just delayed because of the post season, probably some to do with their contracts getting leaked, but they are claiming that Kiffin is tampering and trying to cause chaos.
In short, the tables have turned and they see the writing on the wall. Back to being mid.

Ole Miss overspent on their roster last year. Now the SEC added 20 more scholarships. Players like Lacy were unknowns that made little and they have to pay them through the nose or lose them to the portal.
Players agents tell them what their teammates are making and new players (like Curne) are promised. Now the proverbial shite is hitting the fan.
Blame it on kiffin!!! He is doing it.
Lane probably knew this was going to blow up.

But instead of standing up and dusting themselves off; they have decided to get emotional and fill themselves with LSU hate and spite.

I don’t understand the impulse to blame LSU or Kiffin for assistant coaches and players making their own decisions to go elsewhere. Nobody is forcing anything on these players here.
The rational approach when people are leaving you is to look in the mirror and ask “why, what can I do to make my program more desirable so people don’t want to leave, how can I improve.”
