Did Leavitt really pass on LSU or was it his brother attorney who was the real fool?

Leavitt is going to learn the hard way that you never do business with family and friends. It rarely works
If you ever negotiated with a non professional atty you learn that the best thing to do is leave the room

LSU passed on leavitt while he was still on campus

His visit to Tennessee wasn’t scheduled until yesterday…

Why is it necessarily Leavitt who passed on us and not the other way around?
Do we really need to go into attack dog insecure mode when we don’t know anything?

I don't think anyone here really knows. I think the theory that LSU picked up on Leavitt was playing them so they moved to Williams was concocted simply because a new name started popping up.
Who's to say what's really going on.

No one posting here can honestly answer this question

Correct.
Or another plausible thing could be they had team docs evaluate his injury/recovery and maybe they were not optimistic.

They took him to the basketball game. LSU wanted him gone…lol

You can't let NIL money be the only reason for making a decision if you think you have an NFL future.
LSU has 2 recent Heisman winners playing in the NFL
WR ers , D backs are reading tea leaves
QBs need to follow suit

You don't know anything about the negotiation.

I know it's probably more rant rumors, but wasn't it going around last night that Leavitt has a "crew" that's not easy to deal with?

The money is there. Knowing that and putting that aside ..
If he didn't come here and walk on tiger stadium with Kiffen and say, yep this the top of the mountain (is have the right coach and get to play in here on Saturday night, the he can carry his arse on
That goes for any transfer. Piss right off

That’s the LSU equivalent of the Yellowstone Train Station. “Take him to the game”…lol

I think they wanted to possibly field more offers and lsu knowing they had a really good back up plan waiting in the wings said frick it and moved on
Lane supposedly preferred Leavitt but we weren’t in a position we could risk being left with nothing
Between bringing in sorsby first and then this pivot tells me they liked Leavitt but didn’t view him as an absolute must get. They were fine with any of the 3.

I don’t think anyone can argue with that!

These posts are funny because the facts are nobody’s passed on anybody yet yet.
Like all the people that flip out over Donald Trump’s back-and-forth and flip-flopping, actual real negotiations in the real world look like this.
Everybody’s on board that everybody’s off board and this is too far that way and that’s too far this way and then you come to agreement and then there’s some other hiccups and then it comes to agreement again.
Majority of people can’t handle the process. Mostly because they’re emotion driven.

I’m hearing there were some concern about his Liz, Frank injury?

I don't believe anyone passed on anyone yet.. but if Oregon QB returns I think demond will be out QB next season. If Oregon needs a starting QB for next season I don't think LSU will outbid them if lanning goes to knight and says we need him. X factor is of demonds attorneys suggest staying away from the big ten depending on the UW legal situation

I dont think anyone is getting played like some assume. Everyone is looking for the right fit and deal.
