Everyone assuming Weston Davis is gonna be a starter lol. I think Tompkins or even Harper are more likely to start there tbh. Have we all forgotten Weston Davis was absolutely atrocious, borderline unplayable this year? He’s going to have to have a hell of an offseason and embrace the hard coaching in order to make a big enough jump necessary to start. I could see him being a rotational tackle and eventually overtake Tompkins once the raw skill marries up with the technique and football iq.

Look at his PFF pass blocking scores for his last three games, especially the Bowl Game. He did improve a good bit down the stretch. That doesn’t guarantee he will be ready, but it was the first real progress we’ve seen from him.

All of our returning guys need help run blocking.

The hback from Oregon is going to help. The kid loves contact. Will be nice to have a blocking fullback again.

I sure hope we see Duece Geralds get the ball on goal line running behind a fullback.

"Have you no decency, Sir? Where's your humanity? No thought for the well-being of your fellow man?"
Nope. Dying to see him crush somebody as he goes over the goal line and watch his Momma pump her fist.

Just wonder how Nuss would have done this season with this OL vs the garbage he had trying to protect him last season,

It appears that Deuce Geralds has some goal line rushing experience. According to Maxpreps he rushed for 14 touchdowns on 96 carries during his high school career.

Weston came on strong at the end of year. There’s a reason the staff valued keeping only him & Moore.

I gave Weston a ton of shite last year, but he did play mich better on the back half. Having a strong & experienced guard next to him helps a lot.

The players weren’t great but I’d like to know how the o line was being taught and what the blocking schemes and concepts were and what were the rules? I was one that got duped by this staff.I was pro BK and pro Sloan all the way until the end.

It’s a fact that the right tackle position will be Weston Davis to lose. He will probably have a small room for error, But I think he improves and hold his spot down once he get the mental mistakes taken care of.

Better.

Until the pads are on, I will only say…better.

That's a good, deep OL. We have a challenging schedule next year but I guarantee those teams are looking at LSU right now and saying, "man they're going to be tough to beat."

I still view it as unproven. We added some guys, let’s see how they are developed and play as a unit.

I watched them when we were recruiting him. I seriously hope we use him running behind our new hback/fullback in some short yardage spots.
