You will not win. Nuss at QB - you lose!

That is something that can easily be fixed with a new OC and QB. As for OL? Who knows. As for QB? The OL will be experienced next year. Nuss was barely sacked last year and didn't have to run for his life.

I’ll just pick 2 things out here. You are minimizing how difficult it’s going to be for LSU to find an established reputable OC to come here. It’s going to cost LSU a shitload of money, because the new OC will have all the leverage. Kelly is in trouble and he has to get this hire right. Why would any good OC come here without major promises? The offensive line isn’t good. It’s going to need an infusion of talent and the coach will have to be replaced. This offense is going to need a huge rebuild. LSU will need to throw around a lot of money to get it done. Will they? They have no choice, but it’s still going to be very difficult. Next year will be a rebuilding year.

Because Arkansas offense is 20x better than LSUs. I promise you A&Ms defense will have a hell of a lot easier time stopping Nuss and plowing through our paper thin Oline than they did having to stop Green for Arkansas.

At this point we better worry about Arkansas as well because Petrino has that offense rolling.

I was trying to think about how to respond regarding decisions based on recruiting. Now I don't have to

Think about the last decision that seemed to be driven by an even higher-profile recruit. That got us our current OC.

No Whit = No Win.

The bigger question is whether Whit returns (after such an injury-riddled season) as a Tiger or chucks everything here in the NFL(?).

You dont need an established OC. You just need someone better than Sloan, which should not be that hard to find.

You are overstating the problems here. LSU has always recruited well and have become a major player in the transfer portal. LSU will never be more than 2 years away from being elite. Thats a pretty big draw for any coach looking to stay 3-4 years then move up.
