I think when you have 3-4 prominent companies all vying for your services and all willing to pay you comparable money, then you have to get into the finer details of where you think the best fit is. It is smart to hear all options and then weigh out everything and make the most informed decision you can.

We always want players to come to LSU and commit once on campus, but those players don't always see LSU like we do as fans.

He'll make his decision in his own time. Meanwhile, we'll move forward as if he won't be here in the Fall and get another guy reps at OT in the spring and see what we have. If he comes and is available in the fall, we'll be that much better. There is no rush needed other than our desire to not drag this on.

Deadline to add classes for Spring Semester was yesterday. So, unless they make an exception, he can't participate in spring ball. He can participate in the fall. As far as the accelerated classes in March, i still don't think he would be eligible for spring ball. But then again, there have been 52 different deadlines and scenarios spouted about for the last two weeks so who the hell knows.

He's the #1 OT. Did you think he was just going to commit at the first deal? He's a kid that didn't come from generational wealth; he's trying to break that cycle. I respect his decisions to get as much money as a school will pay him. Last, I check, he didn't create NIL, so pouting and blaming his uncle, it's just dumb especially when you know nothing about the situation.

people like that will be bankrupt before he finishes playing football. Worry about football and not money.

If you were a high value employee and had firms competing to get you to work for them, wouldn’t you want to hear them all out?

He will be draft eligible next year. Missing spring practice seems foolish.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Dude is a high value player taking advantage of the current situation I can’t blame him one bit.

Is it not possible that he enrolled in the 3-4 schools he is thinking about going to? I would think the amount of money he is paying an agent they could have him enrolled in all the schools that are possible.

If he's getting $1,000,000 more dollars (or more) due to "shopping around" to play 1 year of college football, I'd say it's probably worth it

100K more would make you think.

Line his pockets and lead everyone on.

who is he "leading on"? he hasn't committed to anyone and then still is taking visits...

maybe this whole "recruiting" thing ain't for you, chief...

he is just trying to get an incredible sum of meeting money, free flights, wining and dining, attention, rubbing elbows with a governor, and just play for the highest bidder

and if it was you, you'd do the EXACT SAME thing, so spare me the the pearl clutching...

man this is a lot

again, recruiting may not be for you...

Glad every great player does not do this

not every player is the #1 LT, that can and would start at every single college football program in 2026...

and whether we get him or not, i feel pretty good about the guys we DO HAVE and feel that we can compete with or without him... i'd love to see him announce for LSU soon, but if he doesn't, i still think our offense will be vastly improved and we can and will compete for an SEC championship and spot in the playoff next year... that's how good this recruiting haul is, with him or without him

LSU has an online second Spring session that starts mid-March, and Oregon is on a quarters system where their Spring enrollment is in March. These timelines are being exaggerated by the fans

What’s the difference between wise shipping and trying to get as much money as possible?

Uncle gets paid for every visit the kid takes. Kid wanted to enroll at LSU on Tuesday but Uncle pushed Oregon meeting. Now you’re seeing another scheduled visit to Maryland.

There’s your issue.

I would think that playing for coaches you love, being at a school that you’re excited about, and having teammates you want to be in the trenches with would mean a lot, even if it wasn’t the top dollar.

There is also reputation, and if you get the reputation of being a prima donna, who is all about money, that would likely hurt your draft stock. Character does. matter in the NFL.

I’m all for him getting what the market will bear, but as it drags longer and the potential of being unavailable for Spring increases, he comes off as someone who isn’t looking to both get paid AND help their new team.

It looks like someone willing to just take Spring off, not help their new team get settled, and collect a check.

I was all for him and so excited about the possibility of him anchoring the line at LSU

I agree with you about this dragging on but I’m at the point where if he comes that would be great. But if he doesn’t I’m good with what we have already signed. It’s one hell of a group already.
