Gawd, they need to either give ESPN rankings less weight or get rid of them altogether in their composite

Nobody knows the exact situation. Saying we are out of it is very mistaken. We deal with recruiting and the money world now. LSU has a great chance, but in the NIL era....simply never know what happens.

Auburn has taking a beating in this recruiting cycle. They honestly need Matthews more then us not surprising their putting all their chips in to try to close the deal

Bad news? Does Auburn have him already?

Why would any top receiver go to Auburn unless they're going to implement a spread/air raid offense that generates tons of productivity for receivers?

Internet tough guy and real life tough guy are 2 different things. One of them typically doesn't run his mouth.

No hate towards the young man for getting paid, but he's missing out on a legendary WR class by not coming to the boot. I mean, has any team ever landed 3 of the top 10 wrs? Geeze what a class that could be. And I think we push hard for him too, just to look even more attractive to the 2027 QB we go after. Haven seems to be the guy. Add him with the top TE that is from LA as well and LSU is looking really, really good on offense for a few years. There is another top notch WR in the next class from LA as well.

I know a lot of people like to throw around the "running from competition" narrative, but sometimes it's just the smart move. Having two other top 10 players at your position in your class is a lot on it's own. Add in the fact that there are likely a few other top 10 players at your position in the classes above and below you and it's just a really risky situation to put yourself in. One minor injury and you might fall behind and never be able to recover.

A guy like Trey Palmer could have likely made himself a lot more money by not coming to LSU.

Boosie, I hate to agree w/you but I see your point. However, LSU will probably lose 5 WRs after this year and any WR that joins the Tigers will have a year or two to "get ready" for the SEC & WRU. Very few guys are ready to excel out of high school.
