I would expect 1-2 more Oline

Expect 3-4

There is no way we are carrying only 12 offensive linemen

Pretty sure Kiffin played 13 last year.

As much as people think it’s still not the nfl. College teams need 14-18

We added 4 in the portal and 2 incoming freshmen, so 8 out 6 in. We still have plenty of time to sign another OL or 2. So we aren't hurting at the position as much as people want to believe.

Miret is so big, he occupies 3 spaces.. shut it down...

Nah seriously though, if we could pull off landing Harper and Seaton, that would close the doors on OL. We really need one of those two for sure...

Take the Bordelon boys off that list. They are dead weight. We use the older one as a blocking TE and he misses his block about 80% of the time.

Correct, there is no waiver wire in season for college football.

While 13 isn’t ideal, it’s not a bad number. Most NFL teams carry 8-10 on their 53-man roster. For a college team, you want a few more because you prefer not to throw freshmen into the fire. You rather have them develop a year: get into your strength and conditioning program, and work on technique. But 5-star and some 4-star players can manage to be thrown in. I would like to see us pull another vet or 2, but if we don’t I think we will be okay.

This is pro football now - they do it with a lot less. 10/12 is all you need.

Job one is to get Devin Harper from Ole Myth signed up. Sounds like it’s trending that way. He looks promising and he’s an LA kid who was committed here at one time.

I know it will take big money, but I would 100% spend it on Seaton. With him at LT and Moore at C, you have two anchors at the critical spots. Then you hope Thomas and Davis develop and let them fight it out with the rest to see who can nail down those other three starting spots.

If we landed those two guys, then you maybe take one more and you’ve got the ingredients to make at least a functional OL. The coaches just have to do their jobs a lot better than the last set did.

with 85 scholarships, the rule of thumb was at least 12. i think it's 13-15 with 105 scholarships. i feel like OL is one where it could take a kid a couple years to mature to a place he can meaningfully contribute.

It also sounds like are prioritizing Harper > Edge Wilson from Mizzou.

Kiffin seems to operate under a hybrid colleg/NFL model. I don’t see him carrying as many as some may think. Get used to different with this staff.
