I just hope Yamin shows improvement this fall to be a nice depth piece and possibly split some time at C/1B/DH. With the way he played last summer and fall/spring at LSU, improvement shouldn't be hard to get from him.

Not sure why people have to call folks out like this. The thing with Beck is simply a does he have any eligibility left or not really. The thing with Yamin is if he's sticking around then clearly the staff thinks he can contribute on the team next season. If they didnt think he could, he would be in the portal again. The staff isnt going to keep 4th year guys around who they think are worthless in terms of playing time. Nobody is hyping up either of these players to be top level starters on the team next season so lets cool it with the calling out of nothing

Yamin by all accounts is a good teammate, and it’s not his fault the media decided to make him a story. It’s just a little goofy to me. Fans will run with anything and I’ll continue to make a joke out of it if I feel like, sorry tbird.
I have no issue with Yamin taking up a roster spot. He will very likely have to catch a game here & there unless they add someone else last minute

Cooper Moore is now being followed by the official OU baseball account so I think that is done

Too much competition for Moore. Doesn’t want to compete.

It's goofy to you people are talking about a returning player who was highlighted as a good teammate and on social media a bit? Really? Again nobody is sitting around saying he will be a top level starter or something, just saying as a depth piece probably not bad to have and is clearly someone the staff likes if not just for his culture aspect. Why make up a narrative that doesnt really exist though? Seems like a weird axe to grind there

Reddemann, Moore, or Volchko.....only need 1 of these and then that is likely it for the portal.

I’m not grinding any axe. It’s not that serious tbird.

I think someone said he’s from Oklahoma and was expected to end up there all along

Is there any chance Noot is waiting to see if we get one? Or is it just a foregone conclustion he's back so no real announcement?

Noot isn’t in portal and window is closed. Sure he can sign UDFA deal, but he has way more to gain from returning and showing out next year when compared to a UDFA contract. I doubt incoming transfers have anything to do with his decision in that regard. If it did, it would exhibit an extremely low level of self-confidence, which doesn’t really exist for athletes at this level (excluding Mac Marshall of course). Really no reason to announce a return by a player with eligibility left, not in portal, and wasn’t drafted. He’s probably just a normal kid who doesn’t give a shite about the socials.

He didn’t announce that he wasn’t signing when he was drafted out of highschool, he just showed up. He probably won’t announce this either

Noot is definitely back, he has a lot to prove to scouts and could be a surprise player in some ways next year. All in all he had a pretty good year 1st full year back from TJ. Get another pitch in the repertoire and he can find a weekend spot pretty easily.
Remember he went 4 innings in back to back appearances late this season against South Carolina and Ole Miss and looked pretty good striking out 12 with only 2 walks. I know the UALR disaster game is probably fresher in people's minds though. Thats when bad control Noot showed up and things can unravel quick.

Yepp, lots of people just starting to watch in the post season wrote him off. Shores wasn’t his best either that day and look how things turned out.
Also, if I’m not mistaken, Mikie Mahthook mentioned that Noot went on an offshore fishing trip with him and a few other players. He said noot and Evans fished the hardest. Baw is probably too busy hunting down some snapper to be worried about social media posts.

Makes me respect a kid more in this day and age who doesn’t care about the look at me announcements on the socials.
Of course he’s returning to school. Undrafted starter with stuff has 2 years of eligibility left on a defending national championship team that has rotation vacancies to fill and stands to gain 6-7 figures if successful.

2026 shortstop commit CJ Weinstein also transferred to Orange Lutheran. He joins Cooper Sides and Tennessee commit (and LSU target) Gary Morse there.

Cooper Moore has committed per Glen West’s X account and Cooper’s instagram account.

I stand corrected, he is a Tiger. I’m interested in what happened, usually team official accounts will not engage on social media unless it is official. Glad it worked out.

Don't blast me if I ask this question.. I haven't woke up yet
But.. is there a fine line between recruiting a top highschool player that you know, deep down that he will go pro. Especially if he is out of state.
Or do you just start recruiting middle of the pack players that you know certain they will come to college.
