It is surprising to see such a poorly rated class from UF.

Yeah, probably focusing on the number of high end guys LSU had snagged by MLB. Kind of stupid to focus on who didn't make it IMO.

Anybody hear if Hamilton is a for sure sign?

Based.on the Tigers draft, yes he will sign. Plenty of underslot selections in the top 10 rounds... 5 HS and a 5th year college senior IIRC

I’ve got Tenn as having 6 top 100 guys.
Pretty sure Ethan Moore and Cameron Appenzeller are making it to campus even though they signed.
From what I can tell, Appenzeller is right up there with Bauer as the highest ranked PG recruits to make it to any campus. Tenn class turned out really good

I should have explained my methodology.

I took PG rankings of each class, removed all the players drafted in rounds 1-10 believing they will sign, then my "potentially" part for Top 100 blurb (like TN 4 potentially 6 top 100) is those drafted in rds 11-20 potentially also coming in. So TN had 9 Top 100 commits, 3 went in 1st round, definitely gone; 6 leftover and 2 of those were drafted rds 11-20. So that's where 4 potentially 6 Top 100 comes from basically.

On the second part for Top 200, same situation where the higher number I listed is adding in the guys drafted rd 11-20 who were ranked 101-200 there as potential to be this amount.

This. Malachi is one of my favorite recruits in the last 5-7 years. Kid is a dude. I’m praying to sweet baby Jesus there’s a way we get him to school.

That’s a bingo. Thanks for clearing that up.

I gotcha, that makes sense. Hopefully I’m wrong but from the little bit of digging I’ve done it looks like both of those Tenn guys will make it to campus.

Can someone explain the designated student athlete thing? If we have say 40 players with 1 medical redshirt, what's the negative to having 5 DSA? Thanks

Of course this doesn’t mean Benge or Fontenot can’t still sign UDFA but interesting that they are putting this out as if it’s complete.

Roster Limits and Designated Student-Athletes: The settlement eliminates scholarship limits in favor of roster limits for each sport. To ease the transition to these new roster limits, the settlement includes a one-time exemption for certain athletes – called Designated Student-Athletes (DSAs). These DSAs are student-athletes who were or would have been removed from a 2025-2026 roster due to the new roster limits. They were required to be identified by their current or former schools by July 6, 2025. Regardless of the school they play for, DSAs will not count towards that school's roster limits for the duration of their eligibility.

I'm not real smart. Who exactly qualifies to be a DSA? DSA's don't count against the 34 man roster?

Cool. All I read in that is that the roster limit is not really 34.

Put up really good numbers in High A ball last year, but seems to be injured now. Last update was him being sent on a rehab assignment on May 1, 2025. No stats for 2025.

Supposedly we already had to submit our list of players that are DSAs. Who knows who or how many that is.

The way Coach JJ is attacking things I’d bet it’s greater than zero.
