Jokes aside about his family, I think Priester was never going to work out here. HE had that huge fall but then immediately regressed majorly in the winter/spring leading up into the season. Fact is he can hit the piss out of the ball but he will not put the ball in play a ton either.

If he was a full time SEC player he probably hits low-mid .200 range with double digit HRs, which just isnt good enough here (this is getting uplift from soft OOC too).

Way too early 2026 Mock draft

Obviously this doesn't mean anything at this moment but

Curiel at 10
Malachi Washington at 26
Nathaneal Davis at 28

College baseball recruiting will be interesting next year to see if clubs are gonna keep paying $3 million for 3rd or 4th round picks

Conner Ware appears to have signed his deal with the Mets.

What was Ware’s draft projection back in February when the season started? Higher yes?

MLB teams may have figured out their plans by all the high school players that signed under slot deals freeing up more money for some premium prospects later in draft

If you are talking about Ware, he signed for the free $150k each teams gets and probably would be signed for $500…he just wanted to start his pro career

Ware has a boatload of potential. It wouldn't surprise me to see him work his way through the system.

River Hamilton has officially signed his contract. That should shut the final door on any of our high school draftees potentially coming to school.

Forgive me if this was asked and answered, but I didn't see Schmidt on the summer league stats. Is he pitching anywhere? I figured he would pitch since he didn't throw a ton, unlike Casen Evans who obviously had no reason to throw this summer.

He is not playing summer ball. They have him on the Kade Anderson regiment of working to add muscle and add a 3rd pitch/work on current pitches.

Jay Johnson was on Tiger Rag radio last night and indicated LSU could have up to a 40 man roster based on the grandfathering in of the new settlement.

He wanted 42 but LSU told him to keep it at 40. So, similar to COVID rosters, it will gradually come down over the next three years before the 34 man roster is permanent.

As far as the DSA players, teams could actually declare most of their roster and have a 60 man roster under these rules but obviously that won't be the case due to the expanded scholarships.

He also mentioned their is one more pitcher they are after to finish off the roster for this upcoming season.

He did indicate that Curiel would be in CF with Stanfield in LF.
Rizy finished his Cape time with his last outing, he had four total.
Schmidt is working on things with no summer ball and is making progress in his repertoire.
He indicated Paz would not have been at LSU if not for his injury similar to Kade Anderson and how his injury allowed him to get to LSU.

Redemann would finish it off nicely.

I said in "good faith" LSU could carry up to 42. I guess increasing from the previous limit of 40 would be a bad look when the limit is decreasing in theory. Lol
