How to report on who is interested in a player 101….
Look to see who needs said player.
Put out the report.

Oregon and Tech will drive up the price to unrealistic levels... both are "new money" types and have no problem, as we've seen, splashing cash if for no other reason than to try to make a statement..
would be great to get him, don't get me wrong, but it's not absolutely essential, either...

Texas is going all in for Arch’s last year and is one of the few teams that can outbid LSU.

Part of the value of having a great scheme and coaching is the ability to pick your spots and play money ball.
Use Cam Coleman as example. Lane knows the type of receivers thrive in his system. Why pay for an alpha dog receiver who will demand QB money when it doesn’t add that much value to the offense. Plus you can argue Trey’Dez already fills that role.
I’m not remembering a high end OT prospect in this Kiffin Ole Miss run, although I could be forgetting. I’m not saying to not go after another starter level OT if there’s an opportunity, but not overspending for the top of the market guy isn’t end of the world. Biggest thing with our OL next year is coaching. I include S&C with that, I’d put Savage personally in charge of the OL.
Saadhiq Charles and Austin Deculus were your starting OTs on the greatest offense ever. Day 3 NFL draft picks.

Trying to outbid Texas Tech, Texas and Oregon on that list is like trying to ask the 2025 LSU offensive line to actually be serviceable. It’s practically impossible.

I trust our staff to make the call but we have gotten our big needs set outside of O line. We tried and missed on a couple edge guys so basically you can take that money and move it over to Seaton now.

Going to cost a pretty penny but they need him.

It's basically a who's who of known portal big spenders.

It’s not just outbidding for a player. You pay too much and you piss off your whole offensive line.
Right Ole miss? They paid Curne over a million and four oL entered the portal, one who had announced he was coming back.

Every big money school…and Ole Miss. are they just bribing the recruiting sites to add their logo to shite so they seem important?

That Nike money and that Oil Money at Tech and at Tx aint no joke. Watch the SMUs and TCUs of the world in the next few years when they really start playing the game if they get an AD that puts FB first.
