RB RJ West from West Ridge Middle School in West Monroe. He runs a 10.5 in 8th grade, so it should be interesting to see how he develops. "After a talk with Coach @KevinSmithRB. I'm bessed to sav, I've received my first offer from THE Louisiana State University"

in West Monroe.
It sounds weird until you realize he’s probably the same age as most juniors.

No he is 14 and is very smart but nice try

I know he’s only in 8th grade, but think Reggie Bush!

He made 15 yesterday
Definitely a little old for his grade

He’s held back and just turned 15. Stop simping. We don’t care if he’s 18. Congrats on the LSU offer. No need to act like he’s a child prodigy, he’s SEC good, hope he becomes a Tiger.

It’s funny because it’s true up there lol.

Nope, but hey, you keep being you.

last time LSU did that, he ended up at Alabama, then obscurity

The real question is will West Monroe ever produce an LSU caliber football player again?

Was at MLK JR (Wossman feeder), then Dad started shopping him around over Christmas break. I guess he ended up at West Ridge. Kid will be a one and done if not in Olympics before he turns 18.

He’s lived in West Ridge zone for years (his older brother attended West Ridge and graduated from WM) so your “shopping around” comment is interesting. His brother was not into sports. With his dad being head coach at Carroll Junior and now MLK I’m sure he would’ve been at West Ridge earlier if not wanting to play for his dad.

Sounds like he should go to Ruston ??

Wait. How is this possible? He just got to West Ridge. How could he possibly hold back somewhere else? That’s completely against the narrative spewed here for years.

He was held back a year so it seems he always knew he was going to WM. So what you are saying makes sense. The only reason he didn't attend west ridge until recently is because he was playing did his dad. Then transferred right after his last football season to get back into WM district before high school.

Close, but nope. He went to Carroll because of his dad. Then was supposed to come to west ridge last year. Then MLK hired his dad and he went with him. His brother went to West Ridge and WM, was class president, and attends LSU looking to become a lawyer. Great family and the kid has been winning on a national level for a long time.

No clue what kind of football player he will be in 5 years, however a 10.5 is world class speed at that age.

Yeah, that’s why I was told he was enrolling at Neville Jr in January. Daddy was going around looking for a new job. Makes sense now.

And we’re supposed to believe that Neville turned this kid away and wouldn’t give his dad a job?! Ha!
Go cry in your styrofoam cup. Get them chains untangled and that down box cleaned up real good. Football season will be here before you know it.

You think he was talking to multiple schools just so he could stay at MLK Jr? I don’t care where he goes but if I was Dad I’d be shopping him at elite track programs in Dallas or Houston. Wouldn’t even mess with football.
