Ya'll need to google paywall removers
Article basically says Longstreet seems unlikely at this point but they'd take him if he wanted to come.

If you dvr all CFB games on your streaming service, like I do on YouTubeTV, I highly recommend watching games from:
-Arizona State vs TCU
-USC vs MO St
-Elon vs Duke
I did, and I came away with these initial impressions:
-Leavitt (when healthy) 100% is The Man now
-Longstreet with more reps could be The Man soon
-Clark flashes all the tools to be The Man one day

The sell to Longstreet is the reps and development in spring under Kiffin and staff , can’t predict Leavitt injury outcome in fall and throughout the season. He could be QB1 if Leavitt has lingering injury issues.
Edit… money also could get it done.

You’re right. Plus we have Pop Houston coming in 2027.

Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee damn they were painful to watch SMH
Dumbo Miles then pulled him after Jefferson returned from the injury and the season then went to shite!

If LSU lands Longstreet, we have the most stacked QB room in the country. I’d feel comfortable with our 1-3 QB’s and Lane.
Not sure we’ve ever been able to say that…
Jesus.
We have an injured QB that will miss spring practice.. but if IF recovery comes along, and he does the VR thing and all that good stuff over the summer.. might be one of the best we've had.
We have a transfer from Elon that had other mid-tier schools offering him.
We have a guy that was 5 stars in HIGH SCHOOL that has yet to prove himself in college.
We have one proven QB that has a possibly very serious injury / recovery that will certainly miss spring
We have 1 guy that could be a diamond in the rough but definitely has experience.
We MIGHT get one guy that is still ALL hype from HS recruiting rankings.
Let's not do the Nuss thing again where all of a sudden, when he decided to come back, we just looked past EVERYTHING we saw in 2024.

Longstreet would still have 3 years of eligibility remaining, and would likely be the front runner for the LSU QB job in 2027.
Then we're all in crisis mode again when Houston doesn't feel like riding the pine for 2 years.

He wrote that one would think it's unlikely Longstreet chooses Tigers after getting Leavitt but anything's possible.

Maybe Levitt only plans on playing one year and then going pro
Only going to get harder for the NFL to pry College qbs away, the top qb's in cfb will be making more than essentially every qb on a rookie contract
You'll have to be extremely high up on the draft boards to even consider

Good thing for LSU is that most of the major (and desperate) programs who were looking for starters already have guys signed. Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas Tech. Miami still looking.
Meanwhile, LSU has a FCS transfer signed, and a commitment from the #1 rated transfer who's supposed to be a 1 year rental (and who's recovering from foot surgery).

Wouldn't be so sure about that. If he can make another 6-7m I could see him coming back for his senior.. unless he's a slam dunk top 10 pick he'll probably make more coming back

If BK was still the coach I’d agree with you 100%. But Lane Kiffin is a QB wizard and I know he will have every QB on LSUs roster looking 20x better than Nuss ever has.
With Kiffin im not worried in the least bit about QB play.
