Sure now let's compare to Alpharetta, GA. Or maybe Berly Hills CA. Suburbs are not the same.
But let's not act like BR is a shining star of a city, because it isn't. It's the Football Ops building & the stadium that are the selling points.
And the $$$

This is disingenuous. Ole Miss has never pulled worse than the 4th ranked portal class, including the #1 class in 2024. When Lane needed a QB at Ole Miss, he hosted Dart, Cam Ward, and Spencer Rattler and got to pick the one he wanted. Ole Miss handled the rest.
LSU's current class is only a couple of points higher than Ole Miss' 24 class and LSU has 12 more signees. The fact that Ole Miss has signed another great class post Lane lends some credence that while Lane may have an impact, it is not entirely Lane.
Well aware this will not be received well here.

Strictly hypothetical, let's quantify it this way. Say a coach built up a program at Ole Miss to where he had them in the playoffs. Oxford sucks so bad, I'm willing to bet he would give all that up to come take the job at LSU!

I think it may be worth considering that BR is 54% African/American and Oxford is about 25%. This translate into a community that is more representative and supportive/familiar to many of the student athletes we recruit,

QUICKSILVER keep BSing yourself. As time goes by without Lane and a so so DC at best, leading the show, recruiting will start sinking. Give it time.

Cause its not true and youre full of shite..

You make absolutely zero sense. Disingenuous means not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does. I'd be disingenuous if I honestly didn't think LSU was better than OM but implied the opposite. I absolutely think it's better. I'm just trying to put numbers to exactly HOW much better. Hence the title.
Sounds like you disagree with me but your statement above makes my point. Baton Rouge vs Oxford. What was the role of the City and University itself? For ANY coach. Kiffin just happens to be the latest beneficiary.

Oxford is a small, clean town that is a nice "safe" place. The appeal of a town like this is more aimed towards a retiree or a couple that would want to raise their children in a town with less crime. This most likely doesn't have much appeal to a college student. There isn't much culture or entertainment there. There is more to do in Baton Rouge. Also Lafayette and New Orleans are both under an hour away, which both are fun places for college aged people to visit.
LSU has no real in-state competition for recruits, is worth more and has more resources. Ole Miss can't compete with the LSU brand (multiple championships). They announce at their games that they were SEC West champions in a year that they didn't play in the SEC championship. I think they may have hung a banner as well, but someone cant fact check that.

I suggest the places people with money live aren't any less safe in BR than Oxford.
I doubt many on here are taking the Chippewa exit on 110 very often unless they work on the river.

Had OM loss to UGA and Chambliss received his waiver swiftly they would’ve fallen into a black hole and the melt would’ve been 10 fold right now. Y’all are welcome for the coaching help.

The fact that that is Les Miles makes it so much better.

Sorry, not sure which part you're referring to is not true. The same service that has LSU as the #1 has Ole Miss as #2 and had Ole Miss as #1 in 2024 just 3 points below LSU's current class (with 12 fewer commits)

I wasn't replying specifically to the OP, sorry. Ole Miss has recruited elite players in the portal both with and without Lane, is mostly my point. Actually answering your question is impossible but Ole Miss has signed elite portal prospects multiple times so my guess is the city of BR itself doesn't mean much.

This isolates the old central area in BTR. The metro area which is fairly affluent due to the industrial economy is almost 900000

Ole Miss still has to deal with a perception of racism. They can cosplay land sharks and ghey bears all they want, but they are still Colonel Reb and most diehards bemoan they can’t bring their rebel flags into stadium.
