I like the list LE. This team is loaded with talent. Can't freaking wait for the Clemson game!

What’s your thoughts on OL Lester?

My best guess when it comes time for Clemson

LT-Seaton
LG-Thomas
C-Moore
RG-Bah
RT-Harper

I think Weston Davis will be a factor too. Experience & the reps he gained last year are golden.

I mean they were highly ranked in high school but neither have really played in college. Probably ranked too high here

Lester, I know it's splitting hairs, but you have Gainey above Guillory?

I know they've both got limited production, but I think Guillory could be a real contributor this year.

Well I think the consensus is that Jayce Brown is too low, I understand it. This thread is going to act as more of a reference. Ranking transfers is hard, and within LSU's class, the WR room is the hardest to figure out on paper.

My thought here is if Jayce Brown is WR4, and Brown is a rotational DE, they will both get an opportunity to make a similar impact. Brown comes to LSU from South Carolina by way of Mizzouri; both schools are putting out some respectable edges, so I give him a boost due to this.

I see Jayce as more of a Chris Hilton deep threat guy.

2025: Brown tremendously improved his deep ball tracking, but dropped 17% of all targeted passes 20yds and in..

2024: Brown dropped 27% of targeted passes over 20+yds.

I think Harris, Brown and Watkins are a bit more versatile and fit the offensive model a little bit better. I think Wilson gives you a unique skillset on the shorter / behind the LOS stuff. There's a lot to unpack with the WRs and how they will be used.

I like them about the same, I gave Gainey a spot up because he played last year. Saw action in 11 games vs just 2 snaps for Guillory (who I know was young for the class).

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Jaylen rarely plays. Prince, Ross, Reliford, Shanklin, and Lamar (if he's planning to play Edge) would likely be our top 5 edge guys.

This.

When I watched Jayce’s highlights he is no doubt a game changer with the ball in his hands. But it’s catching the ball that worries me. Even in his highlights he bobbled several catches. Read a lot of Kansas State chatter that he has a case of the drops. I agree with Lester that he will likely be wr4.

Jaylen Brown followed the DL coach from South Carolina, so he will be the one player that Sterling Lucas is familiar with. Could be nothing, but probably worth something.

Looks like print from an old typewriter.

If Bah is that good, we will have a good Oline.

I get why he is low, but the hback Zach Grace should be higher. He will change our running game as a blocking fulback.

I see the vision for him, but if it’s more of a fullback role, he just won’t get a ton of playing time. Some short yardage stuff mainly.

What he has going for him is that LSU is light on traditional TE’s. TreyDez is a WR, so Grace will be used more inline vs FB

At the end of the day, the pattern we’ve seen with players transferring from high level P4 programs (in non-coaching change seasons) that have not played much, is that they generally won’t fair much better at their new school. Being this is a niche position, and of need, it may be a little different

Dae'Quan Wright

Usage:

11% backfield
54% Inline
34% outwide/slot

so he was in the backfield sparingly. It's just not something that is common with majority shotgun offenses.
