Too much panic on this board

Not that it's surprising 
BUT, the reality is that LSU truly has to have 2 QBs, 2 RBs, and a hand full of OLineman.
QB is certainly something to be concerned about, but I think worst case we end up with Austin Simmons with another year in LK camp to improve further.
With Berry sticking around, RB is more of you either get THE GUY (Lacy) or you find some situational backs that can take some of the load. I don't think it's make or break to land Lacy.
OLine should 100% be the focus IMO. With Davis and Moore back, LSU needs to lock in on a stud tackle and some athletic guards to make the LK offense work. Everything else should be secondary to this.
Naturally we should court and take the best players available, but the sky is falling bull shite is a little over blown imo.

People really had it in their heads that as soon as the portal opened there would be 20 commits instantly. That's just not how it works. Over the next week couple of weeks, the numbers will come in and everyone will start feeling better. Until then its going to be insufferable on this board.

Additionally this new staff isn't just plugging a few holes to play for a National Championship next year. LK is having to completely rebuild the Offensive roster with starters and depth. It is going to take more than one portal cycle to fix the disaster that was BK.

Exactly how much of the LK offense have you watched?
Kiffin typically locks in on one feature back and then plugs in a few others for various situations or to spell the feature back.
For example, here are the Ole Miss rushing stats for 2025 regular season:
Total: 2,076 yds
Lacy: 1,136 yds
Chambliss: 444 yds
Everyone else: 496 yds
So please, explain to me how Kiffin doesn't have a feature back?

I am not thinking that expectations should be low, but they should be reasonable which I don’t see as possible on this board.
This roster is a mess and it takes a while to calmly reverse a mess or you just walk yourself into a bigger mess by just grabbing players.
Don’t mistake calm for an absence of urgency.

What?! Need way more depth than 1 backup especially at RB. Lacy isn't coming to LSU.
If Leavitt comes we need some backup plans since he won’t be available at Spring practice.

Calm down. Let's look at how Kiffin started at Ole Miss.
2020:
Ealy - 147 carries, 745 yards
Corral(QB) - 112 carries, 506 yards
Conner - 93 carries, 421 yards
Parrish - 56 carries, 263 yards
2021:
Ealy - 133 carries, 768 yards
Conner - 130 carries, 647 yards
Corral(QB) - 152 carries, 614 yards
Parrish - 105 carries, 553 yards
2022:
Judkins - 274 carries, 1,567 yards
Evans - 144 carries, 936 yards
Dart(QB) - 128 carries, 614 yards
So yes, if he has a superstar, he's going to run that player into the ground.
That doesn't mean he's not going to use another running back. We had 3 RB's this season, and had to switch Johnson's position just to get some depth. 3 running backs is really thin. We need 1 more really good RB, then probably 3 more guys that just want a chance.

To be fair you had a lot of people on here gassing up how easy it was going for LSU to get pretty much everyone they wanted now that LK is here. I don't recall anyone over the past few weeks saying to temper expectations.
