Curne mentioned he's testing the market and that he might return. That might be what's it at play here with Adams as well. Especially as you hit on it the market is limited here.
That’s why I said IF we don’t bring any of these guys back. I would be shocked if they actually do let them all walk. It’s just an odd look to not lock any of them down before the portal opens. All it takes is one team with a need and a little money to burn to drive the price up on guys like Curne or Adams.

You have absolutely none in this case.

The fact you don't see how dumb your posts are is pretty telling. No wonder you sit in people's sigs on this forum. Continue to show your arse to the world.

Curne was thrust into playing RT and LT after spending most of the preseason getting reps elsewhere.
Adams has been in the program 3 seasons playing Tackle lol
PFF Grades
Curne vs Adams
Overall : 58.6 vs 56.4
Run block: 63.6 vs 47.4
Pass Blk: 58.1 vs 65.1
It’s something with the transfer portal that really brings out you know-nothing fricks.
Sorry, but I want that guy who can do that on the fly vs the 34th ranked OT in the SEC, Tyree Adams.

horseshite. Curne took reps at Tackle for all but a couple of preseason practices. He was being prepared to potentially play there all season. That was not some “on the fly” assignment. Both On3 and 247 reported on this throughout camp and the season. You are full of shite, as usual.
And of course you prop up your strawman and won’t acknowledge the real argument, which is to keep both. It will be less expensive, especially in the case of Adams, than finding someone we THINK will be a better replacement in the portal. Let’s also remember that we all thought Josh Thompson would be and we know how that worked out, despite his portal ranking. We already know what we have here.

My point is, Curne came into LSU an an interior OL, and was forced to play tackle because they did nothing to address the position in the transfer portal.
They threw him in at LT because DJ Chester sucked balls. And he held his own for a freshman that shuffled positions and who did not even come to LSU to play Tackle.

This wasn't about tyree over curne for me.I agree with doing what you have to do to keep curne.Im just saying neither of the 2 OL we signed are gonna contribute and we probably won't pay for 5 top OL with holes other places. The whole OL struggled with run blocking.Tyree didn't give up a sack in 8 games. There is some value.

The fact is, what you said was incorrect. Curne has spent all of his time at LSU prepping to play outside, even if that was just for his freshman season.
Both Chester and Curne had to play LT because of an injury to Adams. That’s the point at which the OL went from bad to abysmal. Adams who didn’t allow a sack from his position across 8 games, yet sucks according to you.
What is your mythical argument for keeping one and not the other when both will likely be less expensive than the top experienced options on the open portal market?

I take pride in being fair and very rarely do I say someone “sucks”, which of course, never happened in this conversation about Adams.

I promise if you read the thread my comment will come into context.
There are multiple posts about Adams being the only big loss & that he & Moore are the two that need to be retained.
Curne is LSU’s most talented OL to hit the portal. You need to keep your top end talent. The other guys are replaceable.

So basically you were hoping for the same offensive line we had this past year?

In his defense thats not that close to the same OL we had this year. It might be a lot of the same players but its not the ones who sucked the most (Davis, Mubenga, Chester) and moving a guy like Adams from LT to RT which probably is a decent help to him.
Echols/Curne were young guys who werent terrible (not good either, but really young and pressed into action this year). Moore was our only really good player so we'd love to have him back.
This isnt me defending what he wants, I think we get at least 2 if not 3 new starters from the portal. 4 even wouldnt surprise me...but what he suggested isnt completely out of the realm of possibilities of being a decent Oline potentially either.

lol that’s not saying much
He was terrible this year. We saw Emory Jones and Will as freshmen and he was not on either one of those guys level

The coaching was terrible and he was playing out of position.
He’s an iOL who ended up being the backup to both OT spots. One of the most common setbacks athletes face are coaches not understanding your strengths as a player. In this case, it was by necessity. But the fact that he was pegged as the best option shows how immense his upside is, considering he is not a OT.

Echols-Moore-Curne would be a great starting point on the OL. Then you fill in your tackles. Curne could prob develop at RT if needed, too.

The scale of work Lane has cut out for him is pretty wild
Going to need a LOT in the portal

He wants to reset the offense side & supplement on the defensive side. He’s was already building teams this way at OM, bunchie.
With the right QB they will give other teams shite next year, but by year 2 they should be rolling.

I would assume new coaching + year older would have potential to markedly improve players. Yes, development is critical at the OL maybe more than an other position on the field.
