Unless there’s something in the contract that states he can’t enter the portal during this period I can’t see how they can force him to stay.

Even if there is they won't be able to enforce it. The most that will happen is a financial penalty and I'm sure LSU will cover at least most of it. This is revenue sharing so won't be the entire compensation package.

They are just butthurt and lashing out.

Contracts can be broken maybe there is an LD clause.
So how is Kirby’s lawsuit going over the DE wilson (that we may sign too?)

I want the kid at LSU, but I’m all for Washington doing this. Same with Wisconsin and UGA.

There has to be some sort of structure because right now it’s literally a free for all. It’s what the idiots who pushed for unrestricted transfers stuck their head in the sand about. This was always going to come to a head at some point.

Well, if this doesn’t work out then LSU might end up with none of them at QB. So I hope this doesn’t work in Washington’s favor lol

I wish I could sleep until August to really find out who is on our team.

LSU sports is like a daily soap opera. Good thing I'm retired, because I haven't done much the last several months.

Even if they “win” I’m pretty sure it’s going to be nothing but financial compensation. He will forgo any future earnings and have to pay back anything he’s received.

There’s nothing they can do to force him to stay at Washington.

Pay the liquidated damages and the contract is voided.
Kelly is gone, correct? The LD’s were 54 million. Contract voided.
What are the LD’s? Might be 10% for all we know.

So let me say this, after tonight you guys still worried about the OL? Hahahaha

This tells you we can pay Lacy’s LD’s too if he wants to come. What they gonna do, HATE us??

Great idea, keep a quarterback on your team hostage who doesn't want to be there. I'm sure that'll work out famously.

Agree

I signed an offer letter for an engineering job 6 years ago

My employer at the time ended up matching the new offer and I bailed on the new job. No penalty

Thankfully Washington is a liberal state. No way they side with a college over a young African American man.

Sounds like pay for play to me
nope, can’t do that. And since Washington intends to enforce the contract, Williams will do some commercials for a Washington based business, get paid his $4Mil, and Gordon McKernan will pay him $6Mil and he’ll play for the tigers. Baw will get $10Mil total next season.

Obviously sarcasm..

Of course you would. You have proven time after time you are prone to your emotions.

Yep. While these kids are professional athletes now, it’s still college football in the sense you have to be enrolled at a school to play for it.

A DB from the Big Ten did this last year. He unenrolled and then enrolled at Miami and then they gave him a scholarship and NIL.
