It’s better now.
If you want to hear about Harry Potter and Star Wars you can find T-Bob on Baratool.

She seems nice tbh, but they just need to have more of a plan. When 1 person goes off the rails, all 4 of them go bonkers

T-Bob was pretty bad but they need to move on from the T-Bob era completely. Seems like they’re still modeling the show as if he’s still there with the non sports talk. I loved Hesters noon show back in the day where it was just sports

I don’t really care to listen to any of the local shows anymore, nothing against them I just don’t think Baton Rouge needs 4, multiple hour shows a day, there’s just other ways to get better content in a more concise format elsewhere. Maybe their internal numbers say different but feels like they over saturated the market

Hester used to be all sports back when he had his afternoon show, I think the combo of having 3 hours to find something to talk about and working with T-Bob the last few years have kinda influenced the non sports talk
Hester also has XM sports talk shows in afternoon, so he probably likes talking non-sports in the mornings to give his mind a break.

The 104.9 lineup has a variety of content. I’m not sure how the morning show evolved into pop-culture review. I do enjoy old LSU Saban and Miles stories especially during the off-season. It’s now summer camp so we should be wall to wall football. I do remember with T-Bob during Alabama week they would get off the rails. I listen to Hunt for the most football content.

There’s content then there’s running a radio show. It’s about flow and having content ready to go each day and laying out a show each day. Tbob was great at running the show. Like him or not but moscona is a pro.
Reminds me of Opie and Anthony back in the day. Opie sucked but was a radio pro and kept that show running. Once you get a nice dynamic and then you separate it’s hard to repeat that.

How much can you really listen to them breakdown the 15 minute practice sessions the get to see? They're not going to talk about any inside info they may have.
It'll be great during the season and I'm really looking forward to their film breakdown stuff their planning for the fall. But right now, it needs to be entertaining and it's just not.

Going to be honest here and I know Barstool isn't everyone's cup of tea, but recently started listening to Unnecessary Roughness Podcast and they are breaking down each conference right now and they all know ball. Most of the time I can't listen to women talking sports but even Kayce Smith knows her shite.

You’re out of your mind. People have to give Flynn and Hester time to find footing. But… It’s not good. Far too much rambling about anything but sports, the most uninteresting conversations possible. FAR too much “in my day” They are too similar. Way way too similar. They can’t do what they did because neither of them is TBob. They have to commit to a MUCH more focused and structured show that is 98% sports instead of 40% sports. TBob was different than Hester so it worked.
All of this. I get why some didn’t like TBob. But I liked the quirky crap.
Best shows they have are when Hester is solo w commentary from Taylor. Hester Flynn is just two dudes that are 5 years away from getting off my lawn conversations.

Alondra is goofy and brings absolutely nothing to the show. The Delondra segment where she takes questions is absolutely cringe!

Despite what this board says, Moscona is actually very good at sports radio.
I think a lot of people’s issue with Moscona is that they disagree with his analysis, and feel like he comes across as if his opinion is the only correct one. He can sound like he’s talking down to listeners at times, which rubs some people the wrong way. But when it comes to actual radio, he’s pretty solid. He keeps the show moving and stays on topic, which isn’t always easy.
That said, he wasn’t great when he first started. I think he learned a lot form “Fastest Hour." It was all sports, packed into a short segment, so he had to be super organized and efficient. That helped him build a solid foundation, and he’s just built on that over time.

Oh man. This place would lose it's collective shite if Moscona was still doing a call-in show.

Hester and Flynn can’t both play the “former player bro” role, its hard to listen to and doesn’t work. They each need to be paired with a more professional host.

I can tell that you just recently started listening lol. I say that as someone that generally really likes their show and listens to every episode.
