Paul McGuire...I couldn't stand him back in the 90s when he did the NFL for NBC.

Highlight of the season was a win at Notre dame 10-6.
I went to that game. Spent sone time in Chicago before the game and they were in the midst of Bears fever since that was their Super Bowl season. If I remember correctly, they were playing Atlanta that weekend.
The ND stadium was not much fun because it snowed recently and they were nice enough to clear the snow off the bleachers but it just sat frozen on the ground. Basically stood in snow for the entire game. ND students threw snowballs at LSU when we attempted the winning FG.
I ran on the field after with a few other guys but the cops convinced us to get off the field. Good times.

Those big shoulder pads looked deflicted.

Durr. That post is from the perspective of someone posting on the Rant who just watched the Kentucky game live.
Whatever. You’re the smartest guy in the forum, but I can’t help it if you came off as being ignorant about LSU football history.

That was my first game ever in Tiger Stadium.

The old school Kentucky big K logo was fire.

Mark Higgs' brother - Kenny Higgs.
By far the greatest hoops player at LSU that no one talks about. All time LSU leader in assists and 7th all time leading scorer.
I don't think he comes back much when they have the reunion type things, at least i don't remember seeing him. I've seen some post there is/was some bad blood.

Was that the game Uncle Bill referred to a "Wall Game"? That always kinda pissed me off actually, that game was awful, and Kentucky had no offense, but he was such a defensive-centric coach that he considered it a thing of beauty.

Kenny Higgs was a baller. Shockingly this is the first reference I've seen here on this sight about this great LSU Tiger

Kentucky used to have some real physical teams. Their coach, Jerry Claiborne was an old Bear Bryant disciple. They hit Tommy Hodson so hard a few years later he almost bit his tongue off through his mouthpiece.

Dalton Hilliard and Jeff Wickeham.

100% - as I mentioned - LSU's all time assist leader and No. 7 all time scorer.
Is there bad blood with he and Dale or he and LSU?

This is what I call football! Kentucky 0 for 16 on 3rd down, 14 punts. LSU's stellar defense made it possible to win the game even given their inept offense.
Wickersham had a bad game, but he didn't look as bad as MVB did his last two games this year. For his career he played pretty well and I believe he ranks 4th or 5th in passing stats for an LSU QB. And he could on occasion run the ball and not slide before making the 1st down.

Why did Arnsparger call that late time out then insist that Hilliard score? That seemed like a dick move by the coach, as a kneel down would've secured the win. Or did Arnsparger still have that botched kneel down in the back of his mind, when he was an NFL coach?

Lads look at Kentuckys midfield logo from the 1985 season. Its 30 yards long and features a wildcat logo, an outline of the state of Kentucky, and various workmarks spanning from one 35 yard line to the other 35 yard line
