Only Kansas wanted this schmoe. Even Syracuse did not want O.

I’m thankful for nothing football related on this day!

Miles was a completely different coach while at Ok State then he was at LSU.

Miles was fired for a good reason. It was time for new blood and idk why people keep rehashing this like LSU made some type of mistake. The offense isn't producing much less then what Miles did in his last years. It's much of the same really. No one is happy with it. I don't see anyone trying to prop up this offense or compare it to Les Miles success or lack of success except you.

Les Miles offense sucked at the end of his career. Os offense sucks at this time as well. What I do see is an effort to get much better players in this program. Better WRs, better more rounded OL, LB, QBs and them trying to get away from the ground and pound but that takes time to implement. It doesn't happen in a year or two. In order to change the style, we need to change the type of player we bring in. Aranda has done that and is still working on it. Now I suspect the offense will follow up. Stfu and enjoy the great season we're having up to this point which Miles couldn't produce, even with a better offense as you say.

I'm loving this season, I just wish the offense was performing better and that people would quit trying to spin things as though the offense is really better than it looks and crapping on a good coach and a significant part of LSU football in the process. Which of course you're doing now.

So you should really STFU and enjoy the season, then I could STFU and enjoy the season as well.

Why don't we both STFU and enjoy the next game, which gets me nervous, mostly because it's there.

No hard feelings on my end, I hope none on yours. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Yeah I expect Les to do fine at Kansas. It seems clear to me that he simply decided to become a low risk offense after the disastrous 2008 season. He knew he could win 10 games with defense and no turnovers. And the plan probably would’ve worked great if Saban hadn’t built that machine and evolved Bamas offense.

That is one incredible resume. It makes you wonder why he hasn't had a job offer anywhere until Kansas. I'm not saying he didn't have years of great success here, but I am saying the only people in the country who seem to be impressed by that are our fans because no one in a position to take advantage of his talents gave him a sniff until last week.

Never would have thought these things were that thorough. Even had huddle procedure, how to huddle and how to break huddle. Interesting seeing all that

It's almost like overkill on some things. It would be great to see how it differs from a Steve Spurrier offensive playbook.

Then why did he lose to Sabama 21 0 in the NC game? Why did he lose, IDK, how many consecutive games to Sabama, 5 6 if you count when Ed was interim. Miles took over a team that was coming off a NC 2 seasons before. He took over a team where the culture had already been changed and talent all over the roster. Ed took over a program with some talent but no QB. Then players began transferring and his first full season, last year, they had inexperience on the Oline and had to depend on true freshmen. Personally, I don't give a rats behind who the coach is, I care about LSU. I want LSU to be successful and WIN games and championships. I don't like the fact Ed ran off a very good OC. I will call it as it is, I have no loyalty to any coach, only to LSU. But comparing what Les Offenses did and what Ed's has done in 2 seasons isn't an honest comparison strictly because of the rebuilding Ed has had to do.

Yup.

Most of the guys you see dogging Miles are also the guys making every excuse in the book about why Orgeron isn't producing on offense. Kind of people that think tearing down someone else will make their guy look better.
Nope.

Because he is the oldest hire of a p5 coach in a decade.
The average age of p5 coaches is 44.
The day miles was hired at kansas, he became the oldest coach in a decade to get hired by a p5 program.

I saw that team play at CU that year, I remember it and the young Les well. Bob Simmons has been a highly respected Assistant coach in Boulder and there was a lot of interest in him and Les coming back into town. Les was always good for a quote.

Well, most of the guys I see doing that are doing exactly this:

making every excuse in the book about why Orgeron isn't producing on offense.

Perhaps you can say that I am drawing an erroneous conclusion by saying :

quote:

Kind of people that think tearing down someone else will make their guy look better.

But it sure looks that way to me. Without searching you post history, I will go by recollection and say that, while I may have disagreed with you on issues, you have generally been fairly logical and consistent in your assertions.

And of course, no one should expect passionate fans to always be logical and calculated in their posts and responses on a fan site.

All of my assertions, in this case, are based on my own recollections of what I've read. So take those with the understanding that my memory may not be the best way to gauge anything.
