The thing that interests me is the fact Arkansas was able to score 31 on them and Arkansas SUCKS and not all of that was against Bama's 3stars in the 4th

Mizzou was actaully hanging with them pretty well for about a quarter and a half until their best defensive player got ejected for targeting.

You using the schedule to say that their offense is uncertain or questionable is most definitely grasping at straws.

Do you suffer from a learning disability? The OP's point is obvious and indisputable. All he is saying is that it is difficult to gauge precisely how potent the Bama offense is because they have largely played inept defenses. That isn't to say they aren't good, but there is in fact uncertainty as to HOW good. They haven't played an elite defense, and hence it us unknown how they would fare against one. That's fact. Pure historical fact and pure applied reason. But by all means, continue to inanely panic.

I can definitely agree with this. A lot of these posters are acting like this is going to just be an average run of the mill offense with a game managing quarterback though. This is going to be anything but that. I think to hold them under 31 will take a Herculean effort.

oh yeah I'm panic stricken. I may not even watch the game because we have no chance.

Seems like you just can't talk actual football. You need to look at "historical data" by looking at te defensive rankings of teams Bama has played.

Their starting QB hasn't even thrown a pass in the fourth quarter the entire season. Putting up numbers like that against anyone is impressive.

And are you ignoring that Texas A&M is ranked 29th in total defense? Yeah Bama hung 45 on them with Tua not throwing a single pass in the 4th quarter.

So frick off for your learning disability comment, you frickin dick

"The Crimson Tide have outscored opponents 165-31 in the first quarter and 310-58 in the first half through eight games." LINK So Alabama is averaging 38.75 points in the first half this year. That ranks them 13th in the points per game stat in the NCAA.

Against a pitiful schedule.

Those defenses are ranked so low because they played the Bama offense.

It’s gonna be grown man football. Stats don’t matter. Bama is good and will come ready.

LOL. LSU is the number seven scoring defense in the country. Just to put into perspective the delta between our schedule and Bama's, we have faced the number 4, 13, 14, 15, and 17th ranked scoring defenses in the country. Bama hasn't faced ONE in the top twenty-five. Not one. Hence, it is entirely rational - not delusional - to conclude that the Bama offense has not been tested the way they will be against LSU. And that there is in fact uncertainty as to just how effective they'll be against an elite defense. That's just the application of reason to evidence. What's delusional - and pathetic- is ignoring the evidence so you can run around virtually wetting your pants and trembling at the onslaught of Tua the invincible god-king.

This is pitiful. Throw the stats out the window just line up and kick their arse. If you go by stats lsu would lose in the same fashion as the 1st 8 teams did if not worst.

Has anyone compared this Alabama offense to OU's offense from 2003 yet?

The shitty thing is Alabama would have to lose twice to be out of the playoff. LSU would have to play them again in the semifinal or final.

That's nice research and statistics don't lie, but we do this every year, their schedule sucks, the SEC is in Alabama's pants pocket, the refs are bias against us! I get it all and maybe it's true, but its time to nut up Tigers forget the talk and kick the shite out of bama!

I don’t think anyone is saying that Bama’s offense isn’t good. They are probably the best offense LSU will play all year just like LSU is probably the best defense they will play all year. We'll still have to put up 30 something at least.

First time poster and bama fan here. Crunching some numbers and the quality of LSU's schedule is far far above Bama's thus far. Our two quality wins (A&M and Missouri are both solid teams) give glimpses into the upside for this team but in no way suggest that we can beat LSU at home.

I think we're in for a tough game and could easily take our first L. Looking forward to a good battle.

Well, the commentators are correct, like most of the recent LSU/Bama match ups, the LSU O hasn't done enough to win games. As erratic as the passing game has been this year, and sometimes the running game has disappeared in-game, it remains to be seen what they will produce against the best team LSU plays this season. It's not like Burrow being a game manager is going to be enough, nor a 1st half like vs MSU, then there are always the unknowns of who will actually catch passes during upcoming games or if the WRs will have the drops. 6 field goals won't cut it. I love great D, but Tua isn't Hurts, he is a huge improvement.

This is the first year that Bama's cupcake schedule isn't even bothering me.

Mainly because they're not even trying by the 4th quarter. It's already over in half a game.

shite, before halftime they’re already rotating 2-3 deep

ETA: The 1’s & 2’s will be very healthy going into the game

I worry this team disappears the 2nd & 3rd quarters like they’ve had a tendency to do. If that happens, it will be a long night for the home team

You know, I may be coming around to your way of thinking. Who knows. I cannot help thinking what if we had Chaisson and White. Geezus...
