Without getting into some long discussion, to UL fans y’all are just another school. I don’t follow LSU and have no interest in them. I’m a fan of my school, and to us, y’all are simply The School Across the Basin.

The creation of an alternate nickname (with pejorative intentions) implies the very opposite of being "just another school."
ETA: Especially when it's just co-opting the way some other schools refer to their actual rivals.

Us? You got a mouse in your pocket? I have literally never heard that statement before. And I've lived my whole life in Lafayette, got my degree from USL, have a grandson who graduated from UL Lafayette, and have followed both the Cajuns and the Tigers since the 70s.

By posting this, TSAB is trying to dunk on Louisiana by saying:
• “Can’t forget about the extra L,” which is clearly a slight at the UL (Louisiana) reference.
• “Don’t forget who’s in charge.”
• “We matter more, you’re beneath us.”

Y’all are clearly taking a shot at the “Louisiana” name, which shows it bothers TSAB more than you want to admit.
I personally do not care i think its great!! You ask for an explanation .

Why insist on being called Louisiana? ULM has just as much right to be called Louisiana as ULL does. It's dumb and smacks of an inferiority-complex. Being known as the Cajuns is cooler and more authentic.

Personally, I don't think LSU should play at ULL in any sport. If they act like jackass', why should we give them a payday where for a few days they don't have to sell land to keep their school running?
If they want to play LSU in anything, let them come to BR.
I knew this was their world series when skinny legs (#9) flipped his bat in the first inning - for getting a walk - like he had just won the game on a Grand Slam.
