I would hope we let them all have as much in-game time as possible in the early season. When your catcher goes down with an injury, it can bring the whole thing crashing down. Arrambide is the future and needs time to adjust to the college game.

Hard to believe this is the worst catchers room we’ve had in the last 10 years? It’s concerning.
No, there's a ton of talent in this room. Not a single guy in the room has SEC experience outside of Hernandez (a couple of at bats vs Vanderbilt and Kentucky).
I think they'll be better than what I'm grading at the end of the season.

Huh
Catcher has been poor since Papierski left
Whatever Hernandez & Priester bring is lagniappe, but Arrambide puts LSU back on track at the position going forward.

Finally. My favorite part of the year

He is one of the players I am most looking forward to watching this year. I still think he is going to end up being the Catcher the last game of the year. He has been impressive thus far and I expect him to develop over the course of the season and will become the everyday starter at the end of the year.

There are plenty. Some of the others (Dickinson, Stanfield, Curriel) will see way more time earlier, but long term I agree with you.

I'm thinking we see close to a 40-40-10 split early in the season. Just depends which one separates with the bat, while also not hurting defensively. It could be either one.

Have we not had one admin clock in yet?
Sticky this thread. (Or anchor it as Tiger1988 says)

I think 2021 was over ranked in Adam’s preseason summary with a Sophomore Milazzo being your primary catcher who batted 0.135 and Jacob Wyeth batting 0.118 that season. Braden Doughty was your 3rd backup as Travinski couldn’t stay healthy.
I’m not sure we’ll ever get a worse catcher room, and I’m a big Milazzo fan.

In before Ell completely shitting all over Adam’s previews. Truly the biggest piece of shite on this site during baseball season.

Thank god we get to argue baseball instead of basketball. Nature is healing and it’s about to start getting warmer (I say that but the UCA game last year was bone chilling cold)

So, technically if Preister pushes the issue, he could be reclassified as a freshman possibly correct?

Two years ago Arrambide wow’d scouts with his 1.70 second pop time and 102 mph arm at the PG nationals in 2023
So let’s make him Paul Skenes?
