My guess is a scout told him. He is on radio when these scrimmages happen.
I think a legitimate scout can see the analytics. D1 guys talk about being logged into trackman while watching games.
The height could be an error that occurs when you are repeating what someone else said.
This is all speculation on my part because I heard the same podcast. The fact that velocity is not on the scoreboard, doesn’t mean trackman is not working.
Mascona likes to talk about his scout friend.

Jay has mentioned it before. We won't be like last year where 2 guys basically throw entire games. We do look like we have a lot of guys that can give us 3-4 innings or so though.

Moscona has Williams mixed up with Rizy. Rizy is at least 6'8", maybe 6'9" and throws upper 90's. Williams is 6'4" and throws 94mph max.

He talked about all three of Williams, Rizy and Sheerin as being 6'8''- 6'9'' guys who throw 98 to 100. So, unfortunately, he wasn't confusing Williams with anyone else. He really is just way off on his facts.
Edit- he actually corrected himself a little by saying Sheerin was more like 6'5'', but still held firm on Williams apparently turning into an entirely different person.

We have any idea of how the infield shapes up? Caraway or Simpson at 3rd? Dardar or Reeves at 2nd?
