People like you are the reason the atmosphere sucks. Just stay home man and let the kids loose and make the box rowdy

Bro, Tungsten Arm O’Doyle and Spoony Shackleford aren’t playing anymore; you don’t have to wear a suit and hat to watch baseball anymore.

If I wasn't an older student I would sit there. I have normal seats so I prefer to sit there.
I think the ushers and this toned down excitement in the name of "family friendly" kills any excitement college kids have.

That’s a good idea and I’d be for that. But also baseball is the only sport where miss st is relevant so i do think that’s part of the reason their students are more into it.

Well we lead in attendance so they must be doing something right. It’s not a game that’s gonna get a ton of students to show up anyway. Students go to be able to drink and chase pussy. Hard to do that when you can’t hide a little like you can in tiger stadium

Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Miss St all have environments that are fun and an enjoyable experience for a student on a Friday night. You can't say the same for The Box
What do they do differently that LSU doesn’t do?

The students have the worst seats at the box. Farthest down the rf line and you have to look into the sun for evening games.
Give the students better seats.. like a berm area or a tailgate area behind the outfield wall like Mississippi State has and way more will show up and be into it.
You gotta make it an event they want to be at. Students don't want to shite in those shitty bleachers and look into the sun.

All have areas where students can bring in alcohol, grill, hangout, have fun. You know, things that college students enjoy doing.

I think they should build like a 3 tier party deck out in right field for the students. Let them bring in ice chests and raise hell out there

Look La ain’t like these other states. We party all the time all year long. There is always something going on but in Miss Tenn Arky they have to invent things and it obviously doesn’t take much

Seriously what else is there to do in FayetteNam, Oxfart & StarkVegas on a Friday night? Is it a coincidence that those 3 lame & shitty towns have good baseball student crowds?

Why $20? I know, because they're not buying consessions, but if they're not at the game they're not buying consessions. Isn't the point to get them involved and create a beneficial atmosphere?
Let the kids bring in there own ice chest with a max of 18 beers and show some ID. Sell dollar hot dogs and if you catch a home-run ball, you get free beer for the season (1 at a time and for you only). U can’t tell me this wouldn’t get more students at the games

It’s a great thing. All these people whining about the Box fail to understand what made the old Bix great. It wasn’t the berm, the concessions, or bringing in ice chests. It was the players. It was the great teams. It was Skip and a program built from bottom up by the guys who wore P&G.

Exactly. The student “section” is terrible seats and small, then the rest of the students get SRO and get dispersed around the park.
If you don’t have good seats, can’t sit with your friends without a lot of effort and organization (since the section isn’t general admission), and can’t have fun at the game (due to marshals), how can you build a fun environment?
The new Box completely ignored the students and ruined the old Coons Corner type right field environment from the old Box (general admission standing room section, could sneak in alcohol, wasn’t considered a “family friendly” section, etc)

Man, I really hope they don’t, that could get messy.

The game should be for the students. They should be the priority not us gray hairs who have kids who have graduated. We are treating our hopefully future donors like crap. All sports, really. Make the Box student friendly. They should get in free and be able to bring in whatever booze they want. THEN we will be the envy of the SEC in baseball. Make the students #1.
