So Frank Wilson is ready for a HC job at a small Texas School but you couldn't have just promoted him to OC at a Power 5 school and paid him accordingly and kept one of your top recruiters?

i think Wilson wanted to be a HC and probably didn't even want to be an OC

BDP to OC!!!

He's so bad at his specialties like defense, linebackers, and special teams, I bet if you moved him to a place he didn't know about he'd be like Rainman scary good at it.

Alleva wasn't going to extend a contract that put him in the top 5 paid OCs and Cam wasnt going to take a pay cut.

Frank leaves, and hopefully wins a couple of games. Les hires an OC that he knows will leave in a year or so. Hires Frank back as OC/HCIW?

THERE IS NO HCIW ANYMORE.

In fantasy land, I would love for Mike Martz (greatest show on turf) to be LSU's OC.

Make it happen Les.

I'm confused about the quotation marks used in that tweet. Is Miles saying all that and including the part about (As described by Cam)?

It's worked out for McElwain, Smart, Muschamp, Herman.

What has, exactly? The only person on that list that promoted from position coach to coordinator at the same school was Smart, and he had been a coordinator before. So again, what point do you think you're making?

Any Power 5 conference?

Kevin Sumlin went from TE/ST coach to Co-OC/WR at Oklahoma (to head coach Houston then TAMU)

Scott Frost went from WR coach to OC/QB at Oregon (to head coach UCF)

Frank as always struck me as the CEO type. I don't know his offensive play calling credentials, but everything to me points to a guy that is very determined a motivator and well organized. I think he will be fine running a program and hiring coaches what you hired them for, to coach their position groups.
