It’s pretty bad luck. Besides covid force outs, it’s pretty damn rare to have a player miss a game for general sickness. I’m sure it’s happened to lsu players before, but I can’t really recall anyone that sticks out
I think last year Nuss didn’t dress out but he wasn’t a starter

it’s odd to be ruled out the day before a game for an athlete with the flu.
I 100% agree with this, especially after being released from the ER and sent “home”. (And my home I mean the LSU athletic dorms/apartments, not to his mommy and daddy in North Louisiana.). The implication of being sent home is he is on the road to recovery. Furthermore if this “flu” requires an IV for fluids it’s probably safe to assume it was/is the stomach flu. With that said playing at 11 AM tomorrow is probably cutting it a little too close for a full recovery. But a Will Campbell at 80% might be better than the next man up.

ETA: Dehydratiom caused from having the flu is what I have been told. Hopefully he will feel better in the AM and can play

So you know he has been sick for 2-3 days or just guessing?

I’ve done the same before. I called Denbrock for OC, Hankton hiring, and Brad Davis remaining on staff
"if Brennan returned, Denbrock wouldn’t be here."
"Denbrock less likely now…because Brennan."
The other were bullshite calls, too. Everybody knew about Davis and Hankton was supposed to be on a Monday that turned into a week from Thursday, IIRC.
Same shite you do now. Announce the consensus as your own instead of contributing a fricking opinion to the conversation.

Could realistically be Wire, Bradford, Delly, or Frazier out there.
We don't even know if Frazier/Bradford will be RG because of Delly back at LG.

Yep there are several combos possible.
I trust the coaches to make the best decision, and I'll be praying for Will that he comes out ok. Hoping for a BIG win tomorrow!

Agreed. But that also isn’t normal for the flu. That would be an extremely bad case for a young person
Sure. But this isn't a vacuum. We are starting from knowledge that he had to go to the ER today.

Why not Wire at LT?
frick no. He got his arse blown up multiple times against Florida State.

Guessing based on the fact that he's so dehydrated, he needed to go to the ER.
I have no inside info...just what I've read in this thread.

It's not the flu or Covid.

I hear you, but I think most would assume a college football player going to get fluids for a virus is because they want to play a game tomorrow, not because they truly “needed” them.
But if he is so bad off he actually needed fluids from a true health perspective, then yeh that’s bad
