Why would he regret going??? Some people know the program is bad and just wanna wear the school colors... were LSU players mad when we sucked for a decade?

Don’t blame the fool who lied. Blame the fool who believed him

I love how people bring up the fact that they are 18, like that’s too young to make make logical decisions. 18 year olds are allowed to sacrifice their lives in the military, but God forbid these “kids” get their feelings hurt
This! I am 32 years old, and I have “grown up” a lot since I was 18; however, decisions I made at that age were just as impactful then as they are now. The way he handled his recruitment was pathetic, and he should be called out for it. Being 18 years old shouldn’t prevent criticism.

You talking about us fans?

Yeah and coaches. Everyone is in an uproar because of “lying, decomitting”. He was never signed so everyone got ahead of themselves. One bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.. if you follow him at all it’s clear he was committed until the last week. Not sure what happened but he’s made several comments alluding to Rakim (himself) being lied to by the coaches. Also said LSU on signing day wasn’t in his top 3 anymore.. that doesn’t just happen on a flip.. their is more to the story. Also seen him comment multiple times about joe Brady and saying wait a year. Not sure if this means he’ll be gone or he’s a one hit wonder because burrow

Even if true, who thinks Maryland is a better option than LSU? IMO, if he wants to go to Maryland, fine. He has to do what he feels is best for him. However, clearly it was a decision based on something that's unknown. How many WR's have come from Maryland vs LSU? There is nothing logical about his choice, however, it was HIS choice to make.
I'm an LSU fan and I always want LSU players to do better than every player at every other school. Therefore, I want every WR of ours to have a better collegiate career than any WR from any other school. I'm not a Maryland fan so I don't pull for them to be successful. He's a Terp and not a Tiger, I could care less about him.

Well you care enough to type two paragraphs online.. The past is not indicative of the future my man... Ed Oliver went to Houston and got drafted high he turned out all right. LSU has been known to fail receivers as well.. Trey Quinn, Jazz Ferguson, Trey Johnson. Not that those guys are on raks level but it’s not like we’re known for churning out wideouts like a Ohio state is.
Their is always going to be a trend breaker.. Miami wasn’t known for anything and then they were one of the most dominate powerhouses in history..
Have you ever heard of sports psychology? It’s a real thing that pro teams use. Some players need to be in a comfortable environment to thrive. Maybe something about Maryland makes him feel he will be able to focus on football more. Maybe he wants to get used to entire defenses keying in on him to make him a better pro.. there are many more logical factors that he could have used to factor into his decision... you are delusional to say not one thing is logical.

Was it illogical for Lamar Jackson to go to Louisville?

You obviously don’t understand that the NFL will find you if you are good enough. Jerry Rice played at Miss Valley State, Marquis Colston at Hofstra, etc etc. The list goes on and on.

A lot of those guys were low round draft picks though and if you're really looking to capitalize on your earnings, being a high draft pick matters.
Compare Marquise Brown being a first round pick and getting over $11 million guaranteed to Hunter Renfrow being a fifth round pick and getting under $400k guaranteed.
Plus you have a lot more leeway to make mistakes and such as a high draft pick.
I don't think most people are butthurt that he didn't choose LSU, its the way he's acted and the things he's said.
He shouldve just been honest and said he wanted to go to Maryland because it was closer to home or whatever.
Posted on 12/23/19 at 4:00 pm to SidewalkTiger
Let’s not pretend that Maryland is on the level on the schools I mentioned. Maryland is in a power 5 conference so his competition will be up to par. If he tears it up there he will absolutely be drafted just as high as he would have at LSU. The NFL drafts high on potential also. Now I totally agree that he handled his recruitment like a bitch and think he’s low character for blatantly lying about his school not letting him sign early. We may have dodged a bullet.

Absolutely, I'm just saying I'd want the best resources at my disposal to be get drafted the highest possible if it were me.
If I'm going to build a racecar, I dont want tools from Harbor Freight, sure you can do it and it might work but there are better ways.
However, if the kid likes Maryland and its close to home, that changes the decision a little, just dont blame the LSU coaches, call it a "business decision", and say you dont care about getting to a playoff game.

Nah, it's not but we all make stupid decisions at that age but adults who aren't 18 fricking bitching about a decision of one who is, is just fricking sad.
If you don't like it, go root for a D-II team, where no one cares.

Jarrett doesn't care about winning. How do some of you not see that? He even mentions "his brand" as a big reason for going to Maryland. He has that Antonio Brown in him. It's all about being a big fish in a little pond. The only thing that matters is being the BMOC and not sharing it with anybody else.
Well ok. For a lot of the elite kids college football is a means to an end. I'm sure a lot of them wouldn't mind being on a great team but a lot of them have other priorities.
It's weird, we'll slam a guy for wanting to jump on the Bama bandwagon because they've won so much but then we'll slam the guy that wants to forge his own path too.

I thought this was a thread about Chase. I’m so sick of hearing about Jarrett’s decision. It was his decision to make and he chose the hometown school. Some of y’all sound really hurt by his decision. Let it go. Y’all starting to sound like scorned women.

You can thank Kirby Smart for that one. He told many players all kind of stuff making LSU seem like liars. We'll see if GA does indeed have a signed contract with Brady to be OC.

Well if that's true, don't think we won't serve up a 3rd arse beating in a row next time we play.

Kids make their own decisions and that’s fine. When you go all over Twitter and giving interviews trolling and making comments about the other side, then you bring that shite down on yourself. He’s a big boy and I’m sure he can take some negative comments while he’s raking in that Under Armor $$$.
So kindly frick off with your PC bullshite.

If he simply had a change of heart that would be fine, but him claiming his high school wouldn’t let him sign on the early signing day but then all of a sudden he signs makes it look like he was playing us.
This. He acts like LSU went back on their word about waiting for the next signing period, but he admitted he was already looking at his option to stay home and play at Maryland. Knowing this was going on, LSU had every right to press on the signature. He made his decision and don’t fault him for that, but don’t bad mouth LSU while he was playing games with his “commitment”.

FF Sake. Stop this bullshite. This was a thread about Chase's dad and ya'll have turned it into a thread about a dipshit that want's to go to Maryland. I GAF about that dude. Let's wrangle this thread back into what it started out about and that is Chase and his dad.
If you want too discuss dipshit we have recruiting board for that. So, in other words, kindly frick OFF with continued talk about some other dipshit.
