Just because it didn't work one time does not mean it will never work again.
Cortez Hankton did not impress at Georgia or LSU. He probably won't impress at his next job either. It doesn't mean that no other coach will ever impress again as a co-coordinator.

Pay is based on title, so to justify a raise there needs to be an appropriate title linked to the coach.
