If you do not see an issue with players development, then I honestly don’t know what to say.. we have had too 5-10 recruiting classes for a while. This is why I don’t buy the we are young excuse. What happened to the last 3 years players? Paul served LSU but it is time to end it. He should have released Dunn several years ago. There has been little to no pitcher development under him. The studs we have had the last 8 years came in as studs and either stayed consistent or got worse
Oh my God, all of this a thousand times over.

There is a lot of competition for recruits in the SEC.
There is a ton of parity in baseball, particularly in the SEC. Look at how many SEC teams are in the top ten.
I expect LSU to be in the regionals every year but sometimes it isn't going to happen.
We bitch all the time about what a shitty place Louisiana and/or Baton Rouge is then wonder why recruits don't want to go to LSU?
In college, having a pair of dominating starters can mean you'll prevail in every three games series.
The incessant complaints about Coach Maineri are repetitive and unnecessary.
How to spot a CPM apologist.

This isn’t a “bash Will Wade” chinyohang thread... I’m confused. Does he think Paul is Johnny Jones?

I wasn't referring to the shite box, our player training and nutrition facilities are no where near bottom of the league. Also.... that's what you fricking took from all that??

You're right. It's scott Woodward's fault that he hasn't fired and replaced maneiri already, blame it on the supervision since it's their responsibility to recognize when their employee is not meeting expectations. This is LSU baseball, probably considered the greatest baseball college in the country after what bertman was able to do. Fix this shite show.

If he’s not the problem he’s at least not the person to fix the problem.

This is over sold, multiple SEC teams have better facilities and hard core fans, those bitches at UT were way louder than anything I have heard from LSU this season. When a team's performance declines over multiple years the fan base dwindles, season ticket base shrinks, etc plus most of the games are on TV. There is likely a large enough population of fans who are tired of Mainieri's ongoing poor performance the past 4 years to get him ousted, spare me the buy out, etc. I mean the guy has been here forever and you can't even spell his name correctly.

He’s the main problem.
Other schools have definitely caught up to us, and no matter who we get LSU will never separate themselves from the pack like we used to be. That is the secondary problem.
Recruiting isn’t that bad. Player development is bad.
Bullpen management is bad.
Base running has ALWAYS been bad under Mainieri.
Our approach at the plate can be bad. I’ve seen small nobody schools we play where every hitter in the lineup can fight off close pitches with two strikes. We have few guys that do this year in year out.

Is there a reason why it’s an 8pm start tonight? Or did they just decide randomly to make this game end at 11pm?

Yeah! Knowing your personnel, putting players in position to win, coaching base running and bunting, never having a competent bullpen are totally not on the coach.

Does Alabama say “The SEC is the best conference in football, so it’s ok if we get our asses beat for a few years here and there” ? No. They fire Ray Perkins, Mike Shula and Mike Dubois for being good as opposed to excellent.
This program is THE standard for college baseball accepting anything less than OMAHA 3/5 —3/4 years is not an option. It may be unrealistic , but Omaha should be realistic when you hit April 1 every year. At this point, a regional is not even realistic, let alone Omaha.

If there's a problem with LSU baseball, CPM is front and center. Period

You and the 4 other people that upvoted are wrong...

LSU was the standard. It is not the standard now.
I think that one reason is that some of these kids who play baseball don't want to play in Baton Rouge.

If you don't think CPM is the issue you can go to hell. Wake up you moron

Parity, schmarity.
Paul is paid a gigantic sum of money to recruit the best players and have them ready to compete against the best there is and WIN.
He isn't coaching Millsaps. He's at LSU where expectations are very, very high. Losing or just being average are unacceptable.
You can tell by his body language the man is done.
