I'm looking a lot of your responses to the people who responded to your original post. Didn't you say to respond with reason rather than emotion? Aren't you going to play by the same rules you established? You seem to be just a wee bit emotional every time someone makes a comment.
Lighten up. It's football. It's not full on war for the survival of the species. (Unless we're playing Alabamastan.)

Here is one reason, he changed to the pistol and won the bowl game against TT, big deal but it was a different offense as promised.
Then we went All the frick up to Green Bay for Whiskey game and the first play was the dive play behind Full back that got stuffed. Brandon Harris looked as though he never played a game before, they couldn't get the stupid run plays in in time, had to call two time outs in the first quarter. Horibly coached, stupid game planning, players out of shape
Team.
I thought he should have been fired right then, and I was a Less fan.

Logically, someone please tell me why 'O was a better hire than Les Miles.
I don't think ANYONE had O in mind when we fired Les after the Auburn game, but ANYONE was better for LSU after the Auburn game in '16...Miles was done and should have been fired after the A&M game in '15. You can thank F'King, BOS members(Jacobs in particular for running his mouth), Jindal, Alleva, etc. for royally screwing that up. O never would have been in consideration had they not caved in to the perceived bad "optics".
I was never in the O corner short of running the table and getting to the SECCG in '16. Joe "I am the Search" facked the LSU fans with his hire. O wasn't going to be on ANY P5 head coaching search last year other than LSU.
Not beating Bama isn't what got Les fired...it was going 2-7 his final three years against Bama, Ole Miss & Arkansas. So far, O is 4-2 against those schools and the 4 wins came easily...not needing Dural open in the moonlight to beat Arky.
O is our coach and we all need to get behind him early in his tenure. Either he'll get things turned around or he'll be gone in 3 years or so. Regardless, Miles was done at LSU and we needed new blood running our football program. JMO

Unreal to me that some people are still loyal to Miles' dumb arse.
Unbelievable that some people can't accept Miles was NOT getting the job done and try to insist he was by comparing his accomplishments to O's accomplishments.
Many times WE as fans, reciprocally link one's failure to another's success and vice versa. There are two other options; both can be good and both can be bad. O fans try to prove O is good by comparing him to Miles. Miles fans argue Miles was good by comparing him to O.
MAYBE...they BOTH suck.
MAYBE... they're BOTH great.
WE do the same thing with players, i.e. Jefferson/Lee, Brennan/Narcisse.

He will never let both Lines of scrimmage get depleted again, He’s a better overall recruiter more of a motivator, and he is not scared to tell the truth. Les was a great father figure to the kids and that had something to do with his downfall not holding the kids responsible for their actions. If you really think about it Les’s win loss record could’ve really looked a lot worse if we would’ve lost all of them games we barely won or came back to win, under miles we were never a dominant team from start to finish. Miles got is on way plenty of times he never would let the Offense gel It would start clicking and then he would pull back the reigns and the teams would start coming back and we couldn’t make the offense click again in a lot of games.

Damn dude, so you are saying you blame Aranda for giving up 37 to MS St and 24 to Troy> The most points given up all season were in those two games.
The offense was pure garbage in both of those games which eventually tired the defense out. No dline depth.

If Miles had changed or modernized his offense he would still be coaching LSU. Miles did not get fired - he fired himself with his obstinence. CEO was the lottery winner for following CLM... about all you can say.

Miles recruiting is what left fans expecting more. 2016 was a perfect example of another year waisted and this time it was over before it started as opposed to the usual November slide where the team didn’t progress.
Going into 2016 Miles had one, once in a lifetime RB and a once in a generation backup with an offensive philosophy of ground and pound. He had and offensive line with experience and a JR Qb who once again should have been developed! He had veteran Wr’s, TE’s & FB’s.
On defense he had veteran studs that were the QB’s of the defense in Tre White, Adams & Beckwith.
After four games into the season Miles was 2-2 and already switching his underdeveloped QB. This was par for the course in a Miles coached team.(sos)!!!
I have no idea if O can manage a team and sustain a winning program.
This is what I do know from the 2017 season.
1. Came into the season with key studs missing from last year. LF, JA, TW, DB. Plus other key contributors MD, TD, DG, TM.
2. He had two studs, one on O & one on D he would have to rely on early in the season and both were hurt during that time DG & AK.
3. This year going in had to many question marks to look at three losses as a disappointment, unlike last years 4 losses. (Apples & oranges)
4. This year I saw game planning to expose the other teams weakness on O & D. Refreshing!
5. Great halftime adjustments.
6. Calling TO’s when they wanted and needed too. Real sideline coaching instead of the usual spectating!!!!
7. More motions and less pre snap penalties. Imagine that!!!
8. Actual clock management!!!!!!!!!
9. A team that got better in November. Finally!
I really could go on an on about why I actually injoyed this season as opposed to previous years but if you’re a Miles fan then it’s obvious you are a guy who invites poeple over to watch the game and socialize about everything but the game why the game is on because you’ve never played or coached and that’s fine, I wish I could have been that way during the Miles era.

My opinion: He was not a better hire at all. That said, Miles had to geaux. Until the corndog king wins the SEC he is a bust.

So they pale in comparison to Miles’s, right?

Or you can be a miserable fack and hope we lose EVERY game from here on out and get Coach O fired as quick as possible. Sorry, but that's a selfish, it's all about me attitude that is pathetic.
He's the HC of "Our" football team and I'm gonna pull for the guy to succeed. Being born and raised in BR, LSU has been my favorite "hobby" my entire life...I'm gonna enjoy watching and cheering on this team regardless of who the coach is. Until O proves he can't get his team to turn the corner, I'm going to pull for him....why wouldn't you? To prove you're right about him?

Les Miles offensive philosophy was a recipe for consistent 9-10 win regular seasons at LSU because he had the talent to line up and run on the most of the other teams until they broke down in the late 3rd or 4th quarter. It didn't require the OC to out scheme the defense, it didn't produce a ton of blow outs against inferior teams, but it did guarantee a high level of success. In other words, those close wins were by design. It was what it was and would have secured his job at LSU for the rest of his life if Saban had not gone to Bama.

Histrionics are for women. No one is miserable, and no LSU fan wants them to lose.
