I guess, haven't hung out with the guy since last week though and won't until after the new year. I know last time we hung out he was shocked things didn't work out for Thomas at UT. I asked him if he thought Thomas would come back and his response was "idk"

I have to give him a C

He didn't have his squad ready to play football until after the embarrassing Troy loss woke them up. He gets high marks for after that game for taking care of business otherwise

He can't afford another stinker of a game next year though like last year's Florida game or this year's Troy/Clanga

B-
Started a “C”, then “F” then pulled it together in the last half

If I remember correctly, when Saban lost to UAB in his first year, there were For Sale signs in his front yard,... put there by Tiger fans. NO, I am not putting Oeaux on Saban's level. I am simply reminding everyone of the issues that can come from our "Instantaneous Win" fanbase. Merry Christmas.

B+
I blame the players more than him for the Troy loss. I didn't see a Coaching blunder against Troy other than that the players laid an egg and that alwys rests on the Coach's shoulders.
The rebound from that was an A in my book and with a Troy win I'd give him an A. Recruited needs well so far.
Whatever grade you give him it has to better than Leslie.

I give him a solid B. The team improved throughout the season, and was playing its best football at the end. As it has been said so many times before, Orgeron does not receive enough credit for keeping the team together after the Troy loss. Besides the that and the State loss, he has done all the right things.

In the spirit of Christmas, a generous C- acknowledging that its incomplete. Still have Bowl game, potential staff changes and final Recruiting haul.

Definitely has a chance to improve to a solid C or B- or sink to D if we lose Canada, hire from within or make a bad hire, lose Bowl game, and not finish very strong in Recruiting .

That said——

First time ever loss to a Sun Belt school

Largest loss ever to Moo State.

Unprecedented meeting with HC, OC, DC and AD.

Hiring an OC who doesn’t run the offense you wish to run.

All of those are directly attributable to the staff and O.

Things of note but not O’s fault—-

Playing a very weak schedule. We will not ever play a schedule with teams that replace as many HC’s

A win in no small part to a missed PAT v Florida.

A win v Aub with generous no calls on the deciding score punt return.

Look neither of those are O’s fault and sometimes you get a break and sometimes you get screwed. But an honest look at those 2 games we were fortunate.

On the positive the team, post-Troy, played hard.

In some ways playing hard is all a fan can expect of a player and team. O and the staff kept the team together after Troy and playing hard. That’s the high note on the season from me.

So an incomplete C- as of today.

D he wasn't working his players he wanted easy practice. It took a former player to get in the current players asses to get the team fired up and play a little ball. He mingled with the offense and lost to Troy. Something he said he wouldn't do. But he finished well. Recruiting well. But if he looses Canada we are doomed again trying to learn a new system.

C + for rebounding after MSU and Troy lost. He is filling need gaps in positions Miles didn’t have on roster. Keeping Aranda is imperative; make him asst. head coach and bring in a dynamic OC from NFL. Develop a QB and then beat Alabama for a A+.

C-. SEC was down this year outside of the top couple teams. Lost to Troy and got blown out by Miss St.

I'd give him a B

Not ready early but continuously improved and kept the kids fighting.

C+. Not just for the coach but for the entire season as well.

Hard to get pass the Troy loss and the whooping by State and think anything higher is warranted.

This is where you lost credibility. Orgeron did okay in recruiting.

Here's where you lost credibility with me, he did okay? Orgeron signed the top two Juco players in the country, a 5-star receiver and top kicker, so talented that all will play immediately. Orgeron out rSaban, Dabo, Fisher, and 29 other coaches, despite losing his top Oline coach.

The Advocate sports writer put it best, Orgeron is a great JUCO recruiter, he strongly believes he can out recruit other coaches for any player.

I give him an incomplete.

Too many variables to say good or bad. Great win against Auburn, terrible loss against Troy and maybe Moo State.

C.

Too early to tell but so far hasnt done a thing that many others coudnt have done. He took over a gold mine and other than Riley at Oklahoma, it is hard to find a better situation for a new coach to inherit in at least 10 years.
