So if you are the ceo of a company and your company falls apart, do the shareholders fire all the employees first?

OP tells us the Coaching is fine….

Goes on to tell us the coach had the wrong player in the game during crunch time and the coach has not coached up the players properly on how to defend the last play.

Brilliant

I recall a story about a speech Skip Bertman gave after losing to San Jacinto JC (maybe even losing both games in a doubleheader).

Skip something along the lines of……….it’s my fault that we lost. I recruited you here……

That is the definition of a coach recognizing and owning a situation.

I surely am not knoghting for the coach..he needs to go
But in the instances that I saw, the players were in position and coached to the situation, but basically were to ignorant to execute.
I have watched in years, and it took 3 minutes to remember why.
As a fan, why on earth would you show up?
Yeah coach is not on par. And the players dgaf either.

In certain critical situations, yes. They were coached correctly. They just are too dumb to execute

Overall, obviously he isn't the answered here. But I dont watch enough to judge.

I think a strong argument can be made that that is part of coaching

You figured this out in your 2 minutes of watching in 17 games?

Of all the things we are not capable of doing with Thomas and Reed out, the one thing we should be able to do is defend that play. It was the only play that was coming. And we sat and watched it.

Imagine saying coaching was fine after watching the team give up an 18 point lead.

That's not even bringing up the fact we've seen this repeatedly in his time here. frick off with trying to make excuses for this stupid arse coach.

frick Woodward and frick McMahon for destroying this basketball program. IDGAF if he's a good guy. He's not being paid by LSU to be a good guy. Dude can't coach for shite. Time to get this loser the hell out of BR.

Anyone defending the coaching at this point has to just trolling and should be ignored.

People like you would still have Curley Hallman coaching the football team.

No it wasn’t. Did you watch the second half? Screen, screen, screen, open shot or a drive. Yet we stayed in man the entire
time. You just have to change it up after watching their adjustments

We did nothing. We did nothing different last game. Granted, we can’t run a zone at all, but you gotta try.

New coach wont help at this point. There is no desire...NIL has killed work ethic

Does Kentucky have NiL players, because they showed plenty of effort on the last play.

who do you think is responsibile for teaching basketball IQ? the same teams win every year....why because they have a coach that can teach basketball.....every phase of basketball....our team displays every littel knowledge of anything about winning basketball. One of the tell tale signs of an uncoached team is how well they get the ball in bounds and LSU has more trouble doing that than any team I have ever seen. It is not a new thing at LSU .....all our coaches have struggled with this basic.
LSU literally has no offensive approach . They dribble outside the arc and very few real screens are set to free anybody, and there is almost no anticipation to throw a pass or receive a pass from any player. This is the foundation of excellent offensive basketball, and LSU has none of it.

This may shock you, but yes, to answer your question.
Who knew that basically forever, on even terms, Kentucky has better players, coaches, and program in basketball, than LSU could ever dream.
So yeah, their best outplayed our best, and it wasn't coaching, it was pure will to compete.

I agree overall coaching for LSU is weak. What I simply meant was in certain moments, we were coached correctly and in position.....but the players didn't have the will
