Wish he was staying, but good luck to him

He gave his all while he was playing...thanks...but not surprised at all as I understand the financial strains he is facing...I felt the same pain as a young father of two on a puny teaching salary back in the day...and I coached for free the first year...

Everything I've seen he is projected as a 2-3 rounder at this point. It helps he was productive in a 3-4 defense, but is built for a 4-3. He is a solid pass rusher, so teams will like his versatility.

Best wishes and God bless to the big man. Great player.

Thanks Davon for all your hard work and your contributions to an outstanding defensive unit.
I recall that when Davon came to LSU, he had suffered a serious injury as a senior and I believe missed half the season. He did an incredible job as a freshman, since he was needed and the DL was not that deep. Seems like Davon played most of the snaps in every game and did not suffer an injury that would cause him to miss any games--he was an iron man. Then help arrived the next few years.

Great Tiger. Wish him the best in his career and thankful for the effort he gave and what he did at LSU.

Here's hoping his health holds up. I can understand him not coming back for his senior season after starting out at LSU with injury problems. Get paid while you can.

What? Nobody thinks he's first round material? ok
He definitely has 1st round potential. Arguably more than some players, example Myles Garrett.
Not sure why you got downvoted that bad, maybe they assumed you were talking about him needing to come back to be a 1st round pick.

BEST OF LUCK D.G. You were a Tiger in trenches always doing the dirty work, often demanding double teams, and VERY often making plays. A relentless competitor with a quiet personality who produced for our DEF, period. You have a bright future in the NFL. Keep Charging, and thanks!

I am glad that he came in to provide a spark during the time that our D-line was the weakest in memory
This is where Miles lost the program; Alabama has 3 guys like this in every class, and Godchaux likely wouldn't have been pressed into duty until he was a redshirt sophomore. We NEEDED him as a true freshman.
