Just like in a business, there's a certain way to carry yourself. If you get emotional and can't carry yourself in a professional demeanor, you shouldn't be in a role like that. I'd imagine their looking at all possible avenues to improves men's bb, but with the buyout, what they just spent on football, may take a yr or so longer. You support your house, while looking at all options. Two things can be true

Maybe when the time comes they will have more money to dump into MBB

This morning I learned that $1-2 million a year in profit to help support the AD and other programs isn’t “real money”.
Someone should have told Bama that a few years ago, when they were making $1-2 million in profit from MBB and last year made $9.5 million in profit. They could have completely avoided that by realizing it’s not “real money”. Someone should have told them they’re not a “basketball school”.

I was there for most of those seasons when something else didn’t take me away.
The Assembly Center would rock.
I remember UH coming with Phi Slamma Jamma and a kid from north La draining 3’s on us.
I remember watching the students with the reveille newspaper holding them up while the other team warmed up. They would shake them. At the end of warm-ups, they were crumbled up and thrown on the court.
That place used to rock.
Throwback from 79. Health issues killed this season. I think this and the 78 teams were 2 of the very best we’ve ever had.

And most of the Rant loves baseball more than basketball no doubt. We win the Natty in Baseball and lost 2mill$.
We won the Natty in WBB and lost 7mill$.
We are trash in MBB over the last 4+years but still made money. The biggest expense is the embezzlement of money that McCantWin has stolen. It’s beyond my comprehension how much the fans, admin, and boosters have still backed this staff. The fans(me & us) have no say so or McLoser would be gone. It seems to me the money boosters who gave 8mill$ for these scrubs would have something to say. I think they gave so much to get Lane Train, staff, & portal they’re done. It still baffles me but I don’t give except to TAF, merchandise, and tickets. This MBB has to get fixed when losing is profitable, winning could be very profitable.

Only because of TV contracts. I do agree selling out the PMac and losing 8 million a year is unacceptable. They need to raised ticket prices or stop giving them away. Some thing for gymnastics. Everyone loves the atmosphere but nobody wants to pay. What separates UK, KU and other schools are those suites and ticket charges. That’s why they make as much as they do. LSU should be making a minimum of 6 - 8 million a year. That would offset a few other non revenue generating sports.
Mulkey’s staff is what’s costing so much on the women’s side.

All of you clowns blaming Verge if MM isn’t fired are ignorant of how LSU athletics work.If the money people don’t want to come up with the dollars there is nothing he can do.NO ATHLETIC DIRECTOR make that decision on their own.Now if you people want to donate the millions needed to can MM go for it.Dont blame Verge for something he has no control over.
