things change. this isn't the cookie cutter scenario where you get some reps in limited time your first two years because upperclassmen are better. Then you get your shot your junior and senior years. She had a real good freshman year and was projected to take czechner's spot since she graduated. Then in comes alie and carley. they passed her up. she's not recovering that. and now smith. she's 4th string now basically. this isn't football where you still may have a shot at some nfl camps if you stick it out as a backup. This is college softball. her last year. you go where you are wanted and where you can play.
She probably will never pitch again after this year. NPF is not NFL!!!!!
your football mentality does not apply to softball and you have shown that. get a clue. all these girls are not on full rides. schollies are limited. even lesser for div 2 and NAIA and NO athletic schollies at all for div 3 only ACADEMIC and in house money from shcools!

Actually, that is my philosophy, and it's worked out very well for me over the last twenty years. Lots of organizations appreciate team players and will keep them in a downturn over a talented narcissist who constantly needs attention.

No, staying, working harder, pushing your teammates and staying ready in case someone gets hurt would be helping the TEAM. Taking your toys and going home usually isn't very helpful, unless you've had a selfish attitude in the locker room all along, or the coaching staff asked you to move on because they realized they made a recruiting mistake and want to give your roster spot to someone else.

I would say that they did that this past season, and seasons before. Now they're finding a new team where they can play. I'm not sure what you don't understand about that concept. Softball has a lot of turnover. I'll say it again: THEY WANT TO PLAY AND CAN DO THAT ELSEWHERE. Let them go, I'm sure it was a mutual, yet difficult, choice.
Look at the context I used the one thing you quoted me on and tell me it's different than some of the things you just wrote.

Quinn has got to get MUCH better in the field. It's tough to watch her have trouble with the routine plays.

Your bashing of our players and coaches to OU fans was disconcerting to me. Friends of mine who coach at another university made it a point to let me know what you were doing. They were shocked that a "fan" would have traveled all the way to OKC and say the things you said. Maybe it was all of those Budweisers you were drinking.
In addition, your actions at the bus after our last game to our players should be the last of you talking about LSU softball.
If I was you I would be very very quiet.

These girls should be warned of you. I cannot believe the coaches even allow you around these players.

You only have four years to play. It is silly to sit the bench when you can contribute somewhere else. Everyone always says I would sit the bench to be a tiger. It is painful for the student athlete not to play. This is their dream and sometimes a change of scenery is for the best. Until it's your child don't judge. Exit interviews are given at the end of each season and scholarships are increased or reduced. This also plays a factor in the decision. Good luck to everyone and geaux Tigers!!!
